Nicodemus and the New Birth - Part 2

This part examines 7 truths about the New Birth, or being "born again", particularly in relation to application to the individual.

Some of the key scriptures include John 3:1-22, 1 Peter 1:23-25, James 1:18, John 20:29-31, and Numbers 21:4-9.

The message also includes a brief explanation of the meaning of the comparison of the Son with the serpent in the wilderness.

  1. There is an absolute necessity for new life.

  2. The new life must be of a Spiritual nature.

  3. The new life must be authored by God.

  4. The new life is given by God, through his Son Jesus Christ.

  5. The new life involves faith in God, through faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

  6. Faith and new life come through the hearing of the word of God.

  7. New life is for any and all who believe.

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you."
(1 Peter 1:23-25)
