The battle for purity

In a society like ours, characterised by immorality and idolatry, Paul calls the Ephesian Christians to a life of manifest purity, especially with regard to their sexuality, expressed both in what they say and what they do. We are called to the same distinctive purity of lip and life, and Paul here offers an unusual tool as a way of keeping ourselves pure, as well as a clear warning about indulging in sin.
