Foolishness and Wisdom: Part Five; A Special Kind Of Headship For Husbands

God repaired what sin destroyed in the Fall. He restores the proper roles each partner is to play. The husband's responsibility is to glorify and honor Christ. It is understood through Christ's relationship with His church. The husband's headship is special. He is responsible for imitating Christ's rule of the church. The husband acts in the capacity as savior, as a servant leader, as a preserver to his wife. He is responsible for everything in his home. He is to encourage the gifts in his wife and recognize she is a gift from God. She is to be given the highest kind of love possible. Husbands must show the same supreme sacrificial love for their wives that Christ showed for His church. A husband desires to know God more to be cleansed more and more and to pass that onto his wife and family. A faithful husband MUST be a man of the Word.
