The Water's of Meribah

Israel's chiding to Moses brought them to Meribah because they put the LORD to the test. And though they cried to Moses they were in reality murmuring against the goodness of God. Exodus 20:13 This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them. All the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim, and there was no water for the people to drink.

I. They were in the wilderness of Sin and chided against the Lord.
A. The chiding of the children of Israel was to tempt the Lord.
B. To tempt the Lord is to strive against the goodness of God with murmuring complaints.
II. Moses cries out to the Lord, and the Lord leads him to Horeb.
A. The Rock of God shall brings forth life giving water.
B. Jesus is the Rock which followed them in the wilderness. I Cor. 10:1-10
