The Glorious Triumph of Truth

THE GLORIOUS TRIUMPH OF TRUTH
TEXT: 1 John 4:4-6
SUMMARY : Truth will always triumph in believers because they are strengthened by God's Spirit, because they are not led astray by the prophets of this world, and because they hear the message of God's Word.

I. TRUTH TRIUMPHS BECAUSE BELIEVERS ARE STRENGTHENED BY GOD'S SPIRIT (V. 4):
A. “Little children,” but God's Little Children.
B. Assured of Victory because God is with
them.

II. TRUTH TRIUMPHS BECAUSE BELIEVERS ARE NOT LED ASTRAY BY THE PROPHETS OF THIS WORLD (V. 5):
A. They are “of this world.”
B. They speak of this world.
C. They are heard by this world.

III. TRUTH TRIUMPHS BECAUSE BELIEVERS HEAR THE MESSAGE OF GOD'S WORD (V. 6):
A. They Hear God because they Know Him by Experience.
B. They Hear God because they Know of Him from His Word.
C. They Hear God because they Know Him through His Spirit.
