The Elect in Worst of Times

The times of the Antichrist will be the worst of times, a time of trouble only surpassed by the rising up Satan from his prison to attack the church at the very end of history. In both troubles the elect are never alone and are delivered in various ways. The assurance of this verse is made over not to all in the visible church, but to those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. Christians must prepare for the evil days now by coming to a true and well grounded assurance that their names are written there. This assurance can be had only by living the Christian life in all its fulness.
