Psalm 1
1 ¶ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 ¶ The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

1 THAT man hath perfect blessedness Who walketh not astray In counsel of ungodly men, Nor stands in sinners' way, Nor sitteth in the scorner's chair: 2 But placeth his delight Upon God's law, and meditates On his law day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree that hath Been planted by a river, Which in its season yields its fruit, And its leaf fadeth never: And all he doth shall prosper well. 4 The wicked are not so; But like they are unto the chaff, Which wind drives to and fro. 5 In judgment therefore shall not stand Such as ungodly are; Nor in the assembly of the just Shall wicked men appear. 6 Because the way of godly men Unto the Lord is known; Whereas the way of wicked men Shall quite be overthrown.
