The Baldy Bishops take a look at the beautiful little letter of Philemon. It might be small, but it packs a big gospel punch. The High Call for Unity - Pt 2

The relationship between the pastor and the church members is a very special and important one. If it isn't right the church isn't going to succeed, and there will far reaching consequences in the lives of the members and their families. It is like all other human relationships that are important in that it should be permanent and not temporary. It should be based on love, just as these other relationships, and not simply on laws and duty. If the church is going to be able to fulfill its mission and purpose the pastor must truly love the people, the people must truly love the pastor, and the people must truly love one another. What is done must be done in the spirit of love and cooperation and not strife or selfishness.

"Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth." (John 17:17)

Does what you have been taught line up with what you read in your Bible? Do you fully understand what you read or do you just rely on what someone has taught you? Many Christians have been deceived and blinded by Satan to the Gospel of Grace and seeing how to "Rightly Divide" the Word of Truth per Apostle Paul's instruction in 2 Timothy 2:15. Tradition can be dangerous to your spiritual health.

Our testimony of love of God

By works of the law, we will not be justified. Christ delivers us from sin, converting us in form, character, and function to make us new in character, more like Christ.

Your prayers are part of God's plan for other people.

Joshua's Command to Go - Joshua 1:10-18I. A Command (vv10-11) II. A Call-to-Arms (vv12-15) III. A Commitment (vv16-18) There is much pictured and therefore to be learned about our Savior and His church in this passage. May we find rest and unity in Him, and we serve Him and take His gospel forth.

We see the connection between godliness and Thankfulness. Thankfulness helps us be godly.

We look at the intercessory work of Jesus Christ once again and see how His high priestly prayer intercedes for us to bind us together as one. We see that the Redeemer's heart is for the unity of His people. We understand the cords of unity from His prayer that bind us together and are exhorted to seek after God for the grace to be unified as one people of God. John 17:21-23.
