"As you grow in a realization of what Christ's grace means to you personally, you will delight to use material resources to advance eternal purposes." ~ Pastor Ken Endean
Watch this Sunday morning's message from 2 Corinthians 8:1-9 entitled "Fulfillment of Stewardship: Joy of Investing for Eternity."
This rich man entrusted his servants with a portion of his own resources because he knew they were capable of gaining more with it. Each man had the potential only needing to apply himself to the task. To the point that even at the bare minimum there should have been at least a little extra to show for the time they had with the money.
John 6:1-13 " After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.
2 And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.
3 And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
4 ¶ And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.
5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.
7 ¶ Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
8 ¶ One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,
9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?
10 ¶ And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten."
Join us as we explore Proverbs 27:23-27 and learn how responsible stewardship can help us embody Christ-like wisdom. Together, let's utilize our God-given resources to provide for our families and to minister to others.
Why is Solomon's story included in our Bible. Perhaps it's so that we will never go through the terrible dismal realities he experienced. Regardless of the lessons Solomon shares with us, we can still be fixed on how things would differ if we had his wealth, power and wisdom. We should ask the Lord to reveal to us the reality of having anything independent of Him, His will and His guidance. Please listen to "The Love That Changes Everything" by Pastor Jamie Hawkins.

On this episode of Conversations with a Calvinist, Keith welcomes back the regulars Jake Corn and Matthew Hinson for a very unique episode. As the channel grows, we find ourselves responding to more questions and criticisms, and we decided to create this video as a preemptive response to those who decide to engage in online arguments. Each of us discuss our background and theological training as well as resources we would suggest for study on the subjects of Reformed Theology, Biblical transmission and translation, and church history.
