The people of Israel are reproved, rebuked and exhorted by Haggia to pick up the work of rebuilding the temple.

What transformations will come, in the great work of the Lord? Isaiah 29:15–24 prepares us for the first serial reading in public worship on the Lord's Day. In these ten verses of Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that in the great work of the Lord, His transformation of the creation will correspond to His transformation of His people.

On Sunday Evening October 30th 2023 churches from the Memphis, Tennessee area of the Mississippi Valley Presbytery of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church came together to celebrate the grace of God and the Reformation through Bible preaching and worship. Title of Sermon: Recovering God's Stolen Glory Scripture Text: Ephesians 2:1-7 Pastor-Teacher: Joey DeRuntz Date Preached: 11-19-2023

What was recovered at the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century. The short but accurate answer is, The Gospel! Now the gospel is the announcement of the person of Jesus Christ and what he accomplished for us people and our salvation. It is the good news of salvation from sin and its consequences to eternal life in fellowship with the holy God through the actions of Jesus- lI delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me....He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Acts 1:3 He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. The recovery of the gospel is summed up in the slogan- Christ Alone Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men[a] by which we must be saved." John 14:6 "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

The Catholic Church is perhaps best, most Biblically, and most succinctly described as "doctrines of demons." The unholy mass constitutes the heart of Catholicism and thus the heart of its doctrine of demons. May God be pleased to give us Gospel clarity and the loving conviction to proclaim it to our perishing Catholic neighbors...and may this very simple and yet powerful message be used to rescue the precious souls of those bound up under Rome's demonic deceptions, false christ, and false gospel.

Luke 22:45-62 – Armed for the Battle (2) – Sermon Outline Intro: Christ is about to be betrayed, and He tells His disciples to arm themselves for the betrayal and battles ahead. The key armor, however, is not physical, but spiritual, watchfulness in prayer, not swords. Need: Christ must lay down His life to pay for sin, and calls His disciples to prepare for the battle against evil by arming themselves in prayers to strengthen their faith to overcome temptation and trust in Him. Theme: God's People and Kingdom grow by relying upon His strength to overcome evil. The disciples lacked prayer so they lacked strength to stand with Christ in this darkest hour. Peter, unarmed against the power of darkness, has his darkest hour in denying Christ three times. Examples from Protestant Reformation Leaders of their victories, difficulties, and divisions in striving to stand in faithfulness by God's strength for His Church & kingdom.

God's promise to send a Prophet like unto Moses, was a reference to the coming of Christ and also a promise that he would send prophets in the interim period. The people would never be in the dark because they would have God's Word. Here is the primacy of teaching.
