This week in our sermon titled "The Shepherd's Rod (Part V)" we continue our examination of the pastor's charge to protect God's flock from false shepherds. An obligation which is given to them in Titus 1:10-16. We are at war in a spiritual battle in these "last days." How should we live during the present age, between the Christ's first coming (the inauguration of the victory of God) and His return (where he will consummate this victory and remove evil)? What are we to do as this war wages on? Please join us this week as we seek to glorify God through the preaching and pointing of others to the truth of His Word.

Immanuel Presbyterian Church - Galatians 5:22

This week in our sermon titled "The Shepherd's Rod (Part IV)" we continue our examination of the pastor's charge to protect God's flock from false shepherds. An obligation which is given to them in Titus 1:10-16. What do false teachers look like and what sorts of unbiblical "myths" do they espouse today? New movements such as Pronomianism or more familiar sects like Mormonism & Catholicism often espouse everything from the keeping of Old Testament festivals, regulations, and food laws to the prohibition of marriage. Does Salvation come through the keeping of these laws or practices, or by faith in the atoning work of Christ alone? Please join us this week as we seek to glorify God through the preaching and pointing of others to the truth of His Word.

Even Christians Collide, Am I the Good Guy or Bad Guy? Luke 10:38-42 We all face conflict. Some conflict are quick and over in a moment. Other conflicts can last a lifetime. Just because two people disagree or have different ideas doesn't necessarily mean the conflict is detrimental. What we typically think of as conflict (when it becomes a problem) arises out of our attitude or response to the situation. Because conflict in one form or another is inevitable in our relationships, we need to deal with it in appropriate, biblical, Christ-honoring ways. The comparison of good with better in this story does not represent choosing between having Christ and not having Christ. This is a story about the need for Christian discipleship, not an evangelistic appeal to be saved. It is a story about devotion to Christ and choosing how to express commitment to Jesus. A person, as Martha, can choose to do a right thing but in the wrong spirit at the wrong time. Moreover, a person may determine that the way he or she chooses to show devotion to the Lord is the only way, leading to a judgmental attitude and contentious spirit toward another believer. Our devotion to Christ is a daily affair Luke 9:23. Therefore, seeking to hear His Word is to be a daily experience. Every believer should have what is commonly called daily devotions, a time set aside every day when he gets alone with God and sits at God's feet to seek His Word.

This week we continue in Thessalonians with Paul's prayer to the Lord regarding his request for them to grow in Love toward one another and the others. We move to the 13th verse and discuss how the increase of love for others is an integral part of the Lord establishing our hearts in holiness. We discuss holiness in our lives and at his coming. We take a little time to discuss the phrase "coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints" and some controversy surrounding an understanding of it. We move onto a new short prayer of Paul. A declaration that the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, digging into the meaning of the concept of grace.

Fruit of the Spirit: Patience, Kindness, and Goodness

During our sermon this week we continue our examination of the pastor's charge to protect God's flock from false shepherds. This an obligation we find in Titus 1:10-16, and indeed an inherent threat & danger churches must protect against. We will focus more specifically on the pastor's responsibility to rebuke false teachers sharply, as well as keep them away from the flock of God as outlined in Titus 1:12-16. What do false teachers look like and what sorts of unbiblical "myths" do they espouse today? Do Mormons, Seventh-Day Adventists, or even proponents of the King James Bible as the only inspired English translation fit the description of those who devote themselves to unbiblical myths? Please join us this week for "The Shepherd's Rod (Part III)" as we seek answers and look to glorify God through preaching the truth of His Word.
*** Around the halfway mark of the sermon we started experiencing a technical issue with our recording equipment this week. The audio sounds fine, however the video will flicker rapidly at points. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Falling on the last Sunday in the month of October every year, this Lord's Day is known as "Reformation Sunday." Within the Reformed tradition it's when we acknowledge and celebrate the work Jesus Christ did for His church through the Reformers. In this week's sermon we continue our examination of the pastors charge to protect God's flock found in Titus 1:10-16, a charge that implies there is indeed an inherit threat & danger. We will focus more specifically at the pastor's role to rebuke false teachers encountered within the church as outlined in Titus 1:12-14. Are there many such false teachers for us to be worried about? What do false teachers look like and what sorts of unbiblical things do they espouse today in our Western and progressive culture? What are the reasons for rebuking a false teacher? We pray you'll join us this week for "The Shepherd's Rod (Part II)" as we seek biblical answers and look to honor God through preaching the truth of His Word.

On this podcast, we discuss the content of teaching as described by Paul.

Our Lord is expecting his church to confront false teaching and to not tolerate it in our midst.

Verse by verse Bible teaching in Psalm 141:1-10

Believers should stand against the injustice of ungodly leaders while anticipating God's coming justice.

In this week's sermon we examine one of the many duty's pastors have such as the responsibility to protect God's flock, implying there is an inherit threat & danger. More specifically we will look at the pastor's role to protect the flock from false shepherds within the church as outlined in Titus 1:10-11. Do so called prosperity "shepherd's" such as Joel Osteen, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar and many others adhere to the true gospel? Or are they simply our generations false teachers, our version of wolves merely posing as shepherds? Are these teachers a threat that we should just ignore or are they to be rebuked? Join us this week for "The Shepherd's Rod (Part I)" as we seek biblical answers and look to glorify God through preaching the truth of His Word.

Cuando la tradición humana está distorsionando toda la doctrinas, no es solamente un abuso tremendo, sino que es actualmente peligroso.

God keeps and cleanses our hearts through His word so we are holy without blemish. Preaching Christ in scripture is timeless and eternal.

A veces lo que pedimos a Dios es muy poco, para mostrar su gloria adecuadamente. Y por esto, nuestro Dios tiene que hacer algo mas espectacular.
