We take a moment to discuss the 2 1/2 years of Proverb devotionals, how to sign up for notifications (and help others sign up) with a reminder that the wise will receive Biblical counsel and wisdom, beginning with the Biblical Gospel of Salvation.
Using both law and gospel, the apostle Paul seeks to lift our gaze above this world, and even above the leaders and the ministry in the church, that we might look to Christ and pursue the mind of Christ. For when we look to Christ and we see the wealth of riches and resources found in him, we won't have time or the care for the petty divisions that often turn the church inside out.

Verna Birkey was a great friend of Dr. and Mrs. Logan. Her ministry had a big impact on their life and ministry to women. In this message she shares the essential points in our life to have a comfortable life with God and others.
In chapter 7 you will learn the importance of have a daily devotional life with God for developing intimacy with Him. It is important that we spend time with God alone in our secret place. That is where we can share our heart and soul with Him.
In Chapter six, you will learn about the importance of having fellowship with other believers. It is important that we have relationships with strong believers. It is also important that we share our faith. God will bring people into our lives that we are to share with to encourage in their walk with God or even lead them to salvation.
Scripture commands us in Romans 12 to never be lacking in zeal but to keep our spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. What if you don't have that fervor and zeal? How do you get it? One way is to consider the eternal significance of your role in the kingdom of God.
Not long ago I spoke with an old high school friend who was dying of cancer. I hadn't seen him in many years, and we were catching up. He told me, "I worked this job for a while, then I did this, then I did this job" and he added, "That was a wasted decade."
I don't know if you have a full decade in your life that you feel like you squandered. Some people feel like they've wasted their who life. How can you make sure, when you get to your death bed and someone asks you about your life, you'll be able to say, "Well, I certainly didn't waste it"?
Key Verses—vv. 3-4a: "We put no obstacle in anyone's way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry, but as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way; . . . " (ESV)
Aim: To follow and be the Ministry Servants of God
Growth requires adaptation so the Lord directed the Apostle to establish the office of Deacon in the Church so that they would not have to leave prayer and the ministry of the word. This was a very good thing. Preachers today need to leave so much of what is called "MINISTRY" so that they can minister the word of God

Greetings and welcome! This is our daily devotional for November 21, 2023. Today we continue our study in the Book of Acts in chapter 18 with Paul at Corinth, preaching the good news of Jesus to Jews who would not only reject Christ but who would also abuse Paul. What happened as a result? Judgement. And we would do well to pay attention. Thanks for joining us.
We have come to the final part of our series on the Holy Spirit. Through this series, we've looked at numerous ministries of the Spirit as well as three vital truths of his work in our lives. Today, we look at three other vital truths and then consider what 1 Thessalonians 5:19 actually means when we're commanded to not quench the Spirit.
