We have an identity crisis in our country. Society is confused about people's roles, so how should the church function during this identity crisis? In this week's sermon from Titus 2:2-3 we continue examining the call for older men to live sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. From there we dig into the command for older women to likewise live in reverent behavior. How should men live in this world that pulls toward either the extreme of masculinity or femininity? What does a reverent woman look like and how does she live? Sadly, we cannot look to our culture, society, or even best-selling Christian books, we must look to the scripture. Please join us this week as we seek to glorify God through the preaching and pointing of others to the truth of His Word.

Humanists hate the suggestion that our social ills stem from rebellion to God instead of social inequalities, and no where is this more apparent than in the demonizing of Biblical patriarchy. Andrea Schwartz and Dr Roberts discuss an important essay by. RJ Rushdoony regarding the status of women in Calvin's Geneva. Used with permission from The Chalcedon Foundation.
These three men here have their eyes on the prize and understood that they had a part to play, and gladly did it because they saw something better ahead of them. In these verses we see how faith should work on three different levels in our lives so that we too can play our role and end our lives well.
Pastor Jesse gives scriptural instructions about the roles in the family and how each family member can fulfill their role.

The work of building up God's church requires accountability. Living in community means that we have to help each other along the path of sanctification. That means that encouraging correction is required. However, the correction must be carried out with a sense of family in mind.
"Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning, and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them. If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them awake, blessed are those servants! But know this, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have left his house to be broken into. You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." Peter said, "Lord, are you telling this parable for us or for all?" And the Lord said, "Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. But if that servant says to himself, 'My master is delayed in coming,' and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and get drunk, the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces and put him with the unfaithful. And that servant who knew his master's will but did not get ready or act according to his will, will receive a severe beating. But the one who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a...
This is the only miracle that Jesus does that is mentioned in all four Gospels. It is that important, even though it is not a miracle of healing or even one with a huge visible sign. It is the high point of the ministry of Christ as He shows His love and concern for the people and will become the basis for their rejection of Jesus as He refuses to feed them the food they desire after this. Join us as we look at this high point in the ministry of Christ.
In this third part of this passage we see that not everyone is so receptive to the Gospel message or to its messengers! Persecution for righteousness sake has been a staple for faithful ministers of the Gospel! Yet we take heart as the Lord remains faithful to His people and to His purpose.
How should we define a Godly man? We have so many examples in the Bible of Godly men and their characteristics. Such a man will shed those common characteristic traits of the Ungodly Man. He will flee from a specific list of things and follow hard after others.
