God never does anything accidentally. And no one ever accidentally obeys Him with any eternal reward. For faith is the only way to please Him. There is no such thing as blind faith or accidental obedience. Faith ONLY comes by way of hearing from Him. And for it to be faith that had its roots and results from God we receive, welcome, and embrace the word intentionally and purposely — believing, trusting, and obeying what we heard from Him. He never accidentally speaks and we never accidentally hear.

What makes us sinners? What makes it possible for us to sin? Is it possible for sinners, for those who have an unrighteous nature, to do things that are right and good?
We have a sin nature, an unrighteous nature, because we are Adam. We sin because we are the same as Adam. He was a sinner, and we are sinners. We sin because we are sinners. We are not sinners because we sin.
What you do is not what prevents you from going to heaven. And what you do is not what qualifies you to go to heaven. To go to heaven requires changing what you are, and the only way you change what you are requires a miracle. For that miracle, we must rely on the mercy and grace of God.

In an age of information overload, people can struggle with their beliefs and actions. Still, the faithful believer must be sure of theirs because God's Word will often contradict conventional wisdom. Join co hosts Andrea Schwartz and Dr Roberts as they bring the Wisdom of God's Law Word to bear on the wisdom of the age. Used with permission from the Chalcedon Foundation.
Romans 5:12-19 give a New Testament commentary on the Covenants of Works and Grace set forth in the Old Testament. The principle of works vs the principle of grace is a theme throughout the Scriptures, culminating in the final judgment of Revelation 20 where all people will be judged either by their works or by their position "In Christ" under His righteousness with their names written in the Lamb's book of life.
There are two covenants, works and grace, to federal heads, Adam and Christ, two destinations, death and life.
Believers have been baptized, buried, and resurrected from death to newness of life in Christ Jesus. We are appointed to know, believe, and appropriate the reality of our union in Christ Jesus. We are alive to God – Now live like it!

Lord's Day 49
Q & A 124. Q. What does the third petition mean?
A. "Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" means: Help
us and all people to reject our own wills and to obey your
will without any back talk. Your will alone is good. Help us one and all to carry out the work we are called to, as willingly and faithfully as the angels in heaven.
