There are a few people in the Bible permitted to see inside of heaven. This passage we find that John is shown the inside of the new heaven and he describes it for us. We see a very real place and this new heaven has a capital city, which is called the holy city, New Jerusalem. Later in this chapter John is going to give us a lot more detail concerning this eternal home for all the redeemed of all the ages.
In Psalm 2 we see:
I. Humanity's Opposition to Yahweh's rule is futile. v. 1-3
II. Yahweh's Response to Human Opposition is Decisive v.4-6
III. Yahweh Has Issued Sure Decrees Regarding his Son v.7-9
IV. Yahweh Declares the Necessity of Submission to the Son – v.10-12
Submission to the Son is the avenue of joy, please, and usefulness.
Why is it so dreadful to trust and delight in creatures? Isaiah 31–32 prepares us for the first serial reading in public worship on the Lord's Day. In these twenty-nine verses of Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that trusting and delighting in creatures is foolish, not only because of how devastatingly they will fail us, but because the Lord is an infinitely able Helper and an infinitely pleasant Delight.
We take a moment to discuss the 2 1/2 years of Proverb devotionals, how to sign up for notifications (and help others sign up) with a reminder that the wise will receive Biblical counsel and wisdom, beginning with the Biblical Gospel of Salvation.

The story from Genesis to Revelation is about God redeeming His creation through the sending of His Son to redeem and remake
"And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore."
