God is both righteous and merciful and compassionate to save from among sinners who all deserve to be hardened.

Hebrews ch 4 v 9 - There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God What is God's rest? How do we enter into this rest?

The Prophet here gives hope, inspiration and a proclamation about the success God's Word brings, carries to its recipients, and the accomplishing of the purpose whereby it was sent, and that it never returns to Him void. We may never see or realize the effects but as He told Habakkuk "But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. "

IN this sermon, we think about the power of the Word. We remember the Word is quick and powerful. I think through my own struggles to trust in my own abilities instead of trusting in the power of the Word of God.

Let the obstacles of life renew your faith in God, not push you from Him.

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Today Pastor Wayne Sanders shares with the congregation of Chardon Christian Fellowship from Isaiah 6 where Isaiah had an encounter with the Lord and is overcome by His holy presence. So where do you go when your dreams are run aground on the rocky shores of life? If you call out to the Lord then the solution is typically going to boil down to how much you care about what the Lord thinks versus what everyone else thinks. What does Pastor Wayne mean about this? Isaiah understood what it meant and he was fearful. Listen and be prepared for the Lord's intervention when you need it. God bless you!

TODAY will always be the most important day of your life

When Eve chose to believe the serpent, and Adam chose to follow Eve, something fundamental shifted within human nature; the willingness, and thus the ability, to hear and obey God's voice. The depravity within the fallen mind and heart may hear God's truth, but will harden against it, and distort and pervert it. This is why every person must be born anew, by the Spirit.

As for those wicked and ungodly men whom God, as the righteous judge, for former sin does blind and harden; from them He not only withholds His grace, whereby they might have been enlightened in their understanding, and wrought upon their hearts; but sometimes also withdraws the gifts which they had, and exposes them to such objects as their corruption makes occasion of sin; and withal, gives them over to their own lusts, the temptations of the world, and the power of Satan, whereby it comes to pass that they harden themselves, under those means which God uses for the softening of others.

To how wicked a man can the Lord show mercy, and how? 1Kings 21:17–29 looks forward to the first serial reading in morning public worship on the coming Lord's Day. In these thirteen verses of Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that as great as Ahab's sin and guilt wrath are, God's mercy is even greater and comes via His Word.

You have the ability to destroy the power of God's Word for yourself.
