CURRENT EVENTS UPDATE: (1) Israel at War 11/29/2023. More hostages released as we explain the reality that Hamas is using the cease fire to regroup but that it is a necessity on the part of the IDF. (2) We look at the Democrat Marxists and Republican (RINO) Progressives in the Censorship Industrial Complex working to destroy freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of religion and we show a trailer for a documentary produced by Judicial Watch titled, "Censored and Controlled" that is now embedded at: bbfohio.com/documentaries
In our study, we expose the cultic false interpretation of our text which attempts to relegate Jesus to a status of being "less thang God". That is NOT what our text is saying and when we consider the whole counsel of God, we see emphatically that Jesus IS God. There is a hierarchy in the Trinity and by the confession of God the Son and of God the Father Himself, we see this truth.

Paul continues his assault on the lie that being under grace and not law is a license to sin! Man is a servant of sin or the only Savior of sinners the LORD Jesus Christ. Who are you a servant of there are only 2 options!

Since the very beginning of mankind, our relationship with God has been a dance of distance. How close to I have to get? How far away can I orbit and still have the hope of heaven? This essential attitude is because of the barrier our sin created, which the Law of God defined… But the hope of the gospel is that the barrier to God's presence has been removed by Grace in the blood of the Lamb. Through HIS working, we have access even unto the very throne of God. This access is not a result of our work, it is nothing we have or could ever have earned. It is, rather, a grant woven into the very fabric of God's work through all of human history… it is the finished work of Christ on the Cross. It grants us boldness in our dealings with God, but boldness birthed in humility; having received all by the working of another.
Read Galatians 3-4 carefully. Here the Holy Spirit distinguishes law and gospel with such reasoning and illustration that a Christian cannot help but rejoice exceedingly in the freedom of forgiveness in Christ alone. This magisterial truth, of justification by faith alone in the triumph of Christ over our sin, is foundational for the health
and well-being of Christ's church. The Scriptures testify:
Hebrews 7:19, …(for the law made nothing perfect); but on the other hand, a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.
Romans 3:28, For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.
Romans 4:5, And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness.
Great sinners need a great Savior! For those under the condemnation of the law, whose conscience accuses them continually, these chapters are the sweetest gospel medicine assuring us of undeserved pardon in Christ. For the Christian struggling against sin, beaten down by their own failures, and accused by Satan, Christ answers every charge. Guilty! Yes, but Christ carried my guilt. Damned! Yes, but Christ took my curse. Failing! Yes, but even now
"Christ my Righteousness" intercedes for me before the throne of God above.
Are all faiths created equal? Does it matter what you place your faith in? As we look at today's passage, we see that faith in Christ brings freedom and love, but faith in anything else leads only to sin and death.
More than a few times in his letters, we see the pastoral heart of Paul the apostle. He carries a secret burden: "...my care for all the churches," 2 Corinthians 11:28. Galatians 4:8-20 is no exception. Paul the pastor grieves over these wayward believers. He rebukes, corrects, pleads, commands, and encourages them to be faithful to the gospel. His love for the Galatian churches and his passion for God's glory fills him with righteous indignation toward the false teachers. Even the thought that some of these converts might prove to be apostates pains him so deeply that he says, "I am afraid I may have labored over you in vain." And "...my little children for whom I am again in the anguish of childbirth until Christ is formed in you! I wish I could be present with you now and change my tone, for I am
perplexed about you."

In modern America, there's no such thing as Sabbath. There's no real rest – certainly no intentional rest in Christ. We just run from one thing to another. God gives us a better way. In his wisdom, we were given the rhythm of work and rest long before sin entered the world. And we're even told why we should rest and what we should do with our rest.
