The Baldy Bishops take a look at the beautiful little letter of Philemon. It might be small, but it packs a big gospel punch. In it we see: The Foundation for Gospel Community is the Grace and Peace God has given us The Motive for Gospel Community is love for God and love for others The Result of Gospel Community is refreshment for believers, and a beautiful witness to the lost.

The Christian's growth can be broken down into five tiers, the most important being the foundation. This message looks at the five tiers.

People have been searching down across time to find fault in Jesus but have still found none. He's perfect and was the perfect sacrifice for our sins. If we refuse to live as God requires, we deny that perfect sacrifice.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The eternal God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing.

God's living presence in the midst of His church serves as both a warning and an encouragement that we must take care on how the church is built.

We must be careful to build up our church on the foundation of the Lord Jesus because the day will come in which we each give account to God for our workmanship.

Jesus concluded his famous sermon on the mountain with a challenge to his followers to build their houses on the firm foundation so that they would remain in the midst of storms and produce "fruit" for the glory of God. Will we?

The first resurrection is to restore what was lost in Eden. What was lost when sin came into the world and Adam and Eve was cast from the garden. Revelation refers to this as the first resurrection. The kingdom of Christ is a spiritual, heavenly kingdom but one day a physical kingdom if you believe in a physical resurrection. Jesus is the cause of the beginning and He'll be the cause of the ending. He will finish what He started.

As the apostles await the Promise of the Father, they act to fill up their number, one place having been vacated by the apostasy of Judas. With the disciples gathered, the Scriptures are applied, and Luke adds a few words to explain the situation. Then a solution is proposed and the lot is cast, and so all things are made ready for the establishment of the new covenant Israel of God.

Just because a move of God may not measure up to the glory days in man's opinion doesn't mean it isn't a move of God.
