Chapter 15 of Proverbs is a comparison chapter. It is comparing the foolish to the wise, and the wicked to the righteous. The first area that we look at is the comparison of their words.

God's children should delight in understanding. When a professing believers displays an unteachable spirit and shows no desire to learn and grow, they are acting the part of a FOOL. https://bbfohio.com

Seek to Be Devoted not Promoted

In order to avoid destruction Wisdom (Jesus Christ) cries aloud so we will repent and change direction. Wisdom also warns us of the danger of spurning reproof. Finally, if we listen to Wisdom she promises to pour out the Spirit, give understanding of God's Word and a life without dread of disaster.

Wise living offers no lasting satisfaction apart from applying that wisdom to the things of God.

Being a Christian requires that we strive to avoid being a fool while becoming comfortable with being considered one.

Wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord. It's this godly fear that separates the wise from the fool. We also clarify what this fear of the Lord means, and consider the blessing that result from a proper fear of God.
