Dying to self-interest and the need to demand the right to be treated fairly, rightly and honorably because we are believers — looking to the example of Jesus, who didn't consider Himself cheated when others didn't see and exalt Him for who He is. Those who continue in rebellious unbelief against Christ and His Kingdom will be punished in hell forever and receive it directly from God Himself. God Himself is Present in Hell Punishing Unbelievers.

God's salvation is eternal. He has destroyed or otherwise eliminated our sins against Him.

Verse by verse exposition through the book of 2 Thessalonians. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything. 9 For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

Longing for Christ and His kingdom includes profound grief for a time, but they to whom the Spirit gives this longing are blessed already in the sure hope of perfect, eternal blessedness

Morning Service: Eternity (2 Corinthians 4:17-18: Isaiah 57:15)

Colossians chapter 1 will be our entire attention this Lord's day. In the morning we will begin with 1.1-8 and in the evening we will continue at 1.9-14. In both texts thanksgiving looms large. 2 Peter 1:11-15 ...for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you, knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.

Christ's promises to the overcomer are precious and magnificent.

The Lord Jesus Christ will purify His church as He calls His followers to be watchful.

The free gift of God is eternal life.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The eternal God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing.

If we have died with Christ, then sin and death have no power over the believer. We can, by the power of the Holy Spirit, live victorious lives that please God.

We begin our sermon series in 1 John with the Eternal Word of Life.
