Pastor walks his children through Westminster Shorter Catechism question 9—especially explaining how God's method and timing of creation are designed to give Him all glory, especially in Christ and His church.
Q9. What is the work of creation? The work of creation is God's making all things of nothing, by the Word of His power, in the space of six days, and all very good.
Revelation 8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. 5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. 6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

What difference does Christ make in the heart of a believer? Matthew 5:6 prepares us for the morning sermon on the Lord's Day. In this verse of Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that Christ changes the objects of a believer's hunger and thirst, while feeding the believer and guaranteeing his full satisfaction.
God has universal revelation that he has revealed to all through His creation, and He has His special revelation that is revealed through His word.

In Isaiah 55:1-13, we are introduced to Yahweh's love for
the nations through a 3-fold description of the way to
I. The one desiring eternal life must come to partake
of the free gift of the Servant's work (v. 1).
II. The one desiring eternal life must listen and learn
about entering the covenant made with the King
and his Kingdom (vs. 2–5).
III. The one desiring eternal life must receive
Yahweh's gifts of compassion and pardon:
A. By seeking and calling on Yahweh (v. 6).
B. By repenting:
forsaking his own way and wisdom
(v. 7a, b).
turning to Yahweh (v. 7c, d).
C. By understanding the character and
promises of Yahweh.
His way and wisdom are greater than
ours (vs. 8–9).
His word will accomplish his
purposes (vs. 10–11).
His work will bring eternal joy
Revelation 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. 12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
I. It will reach all nations on earth.
A. Sealing all believers for God.
B. Redeeming the perfect number in the Church.
II. It will bring believers of all nations to heaven.
A. A countless multitude having salvation.
B. A countless multitude praising God in perfection.
Luke 12: "I came to cast fire on the earth, and would that it were already kindled! I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how great is my distress until it is accomplished! Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. For from now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law." He also said to the crowds, "When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, 'A shower is coming.' And so it happens. And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, 'There will be scorching heat,' and it happens. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time? "And why do you not judge for yourselves what is right? As you go with your accuser before the magistrate, make an effort to settle with him on the way, lest he drag you to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the officer, and the officer put you in prison. I tell you, you will never get out until you have paid very last penny." (ESV)
The New Testament words for "meekness" are notoriously difficult to define. The character trait has a rich history in pre-Christian Greece and Rome, but it is transformed with the coming of Jesus Christ who describes Himself as "meek and lowly." You will be powerfully convicted by this message; but you will also be urged to, by faith and repentance, bring your heart to the heart of Christ as He is made known in Holy Scripture.
