The exhortation of the writer of Hebrews is that we must hold fast to the profession of our faith and not forsake the assembly of ourselves together to worship centered around the hearing of God's Word.
The Christian has a message that must be shared with the nations! So often we are afraid to do so, especially now as a "Soft Totalitarianism" has settled onto our land. Jesus instructs us not to fear the World, not to be silent regarding the truth concerning Him. The Lord, Who cares for you, will not abandon you!
John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. 32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. 33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.
Tonight we study Thomas Watson's teaching on the second part of the sixth petition of the Lord's Prayer, "And Deliver Us from Evil," with how the sins of God's people provoke Him more than the sins of the wicked. First, because the godly have a principle of grace to restrain us; Second, because God's people sin against more mercy; Third, because the sins of the godly sin against clearer illumination; Fourth, because the sins of the godly are against great experiences; Fifth, because they sin against their sonship; Sixth, because they are committed against more vows and engagements; Seventh, because they bring greater reproach upon religion; Eighth, because they encourage and harden wicked men in sin. Thus, Christians " ... above all others, beware of presumptuous sin. Your sins wound conscience, weaken grace, and do more highly provoke God than the sins of others, and God will be sure to punish you (Amos 3:2) ... Though God does not blot you out of his book, yet he may cast you out of his presence. Psa 51:11. ... You may feel such lashes in your conscience, that you may roar out and think yourselves half in hell."

How much has sin messed up our minds? Why are we prone to make Jesus less of a priority in our lives than our own pursuits? What is the message Jesus prays for believers (us) in John 17:9-10? Please listen to "Knowing & Displaying True Love," by Pastor Jamie for a mind-blowing revelation of all the more we can attribute to Christ and the work He performed in our behalf.
In this passage is held forth for the church three more brothers who blessed the church and leave for us examples to follow: Epaphras, an example who continued to fight for the church on his knees in prayer, Luke, who faithfully labored behind the scenes supporting the Apostle Paul and leaving for us a faithful account of Christ and the beginnings of the Church, and Demas, a man whose words should be received but whose example must be rejected. You are encouraged to bless the church!
Every September 11th, we observe memorials remembering the events that happened on this day in 2001. The problem? Much of what is said and memorialized is a blatant LIE. And this sort of national blindness involving so much of apostate religion is foreshadowed in Old Testament prophetic warnings to Israel and in end time prophecies about these last days.
