On occasion of the high school graduation of Rachel Marie Van Leuven (June 11, 2021). A celebration with the covenant community that helped raise her in every way. Paul tells the elders to train the various members of the church how to live as patterns for one another to follow so to that their family life witness to one another gave a good witness to the world of their life in Christ together. All people in God's holy household should show the watching world that they are faithful family members by: 1) Fulfilling their God-given roles; and 2) by teaching those under their authority and care to fulfill their similar Christian family roles. Taking care of God's house is everyone's concern. Thank You for Raising Rachel.

Jesus was preaching here against a bunch of people who refused to hear what He had to say. They wanted the blessings but they wanted nothing to do with following Him. This village of Capernaum or village of comfort was all to concerned about the things of this world and nothing about the next life. Jesus assured them of one thing though, had Sodom gotten any of the preaching He had just given them that town would still be standing and not in Hell at this very moment.

It is pleasant and good when brethren dwell together in unity. This message explores the various aspects of that unity.

In our study, we take time to zero in on The Day of the Lord. Some mistakenly teach that this refers to "a day" as in 24 hours of time. We show that the Day of the Lord actually begins immediately after the Rapture and includes the 7 Year period of Great Tribulation (70th Week of Daniel) and results in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ which will last 1,000 years before being challenged (but not defeated) and then will commence with the Eternal Age. https://bbfohio.com

God is presenting Jesus the Messiah and Savior of the world to you today. God is offering His peace to you today. Just as He aligned the calendar perfectly for Jesus to appear as King and Messiah to His people on that day of the week of Passover, He has aligned your calendar today to hear this message about His salvation. Today is "your day."

Following on from the sweet example of one who enjoyed much mercy, expressed much love, and rendered much service, we see how the principle is at work more widely. First, there is one who leads in service - the Lord Christ himself, who goes about heralding and gospelling the kingdom of God. With him there are twelve who follow in service, the twelve who are in Christ's school, setting an example for the way in which all learn to serve. Then, there are many who help in service - the women, named and unnamed, who show their spiritual sisterhood with the woman described at the end of chapter 7, serving because saved.

The Unthankful. Luke 17:11-19 The Lesson on Need and Gratitude.This passage teaches two powerful lessons, one on how to have needs met and the other on gratitude.Jesus went toward Jerusalem. His face was set to fulfill His purpose on earth: to die for man.The lesson on need—ten lepers are healed.There was desperation. The men had leprosy, the most feared disease of that day.They met Jesus as He was entering the city, coming in from a long journey. The lepers had no idea where He was going: He could have been heading for an important meeting, or He could have been tired and exhausted, or He could have had no time for interruptions; but the lepers did not care. They were so desperate they would interrupt Him no matter what.The most rejected was the most thankful.He had felt his need more keenly and deeply. He knew he needed to be saved, genuinely saved—spiritually as well as physically. Despite the fact that he had never known the real promises of God and that he had been without God in this world, he now knew God. His heart just broke forth to give glory to God. Jesus had saved him from so much.

Previously Jesus had been kicked out of His own village and now He had returned and still they were offended with Him. These were His earthly peers, those He had grown up around and still they didn't like Him. Even though they had tried to kill Him before Jesus still loved them enough to come back. Jesus wasn't like those hypocrites, He walked the walk and talked the talk; of course that bothered people as well. As a result they were offended at Him. Does He offend us?

In Matthew 10:5-15, as Jesus prepared to send His disciples out on a gospel mission to the region of Galilee, He told them that they should withdraw from those towns and villages that were hostile to their message. But what should happen when the disciple can't withdraw? What should the disciple do when they are pursued by those they've preached the gospel to? In short, how should the disciple respond to persecution? The Marxist has written his designs on society to include the destruction of the family in order that they can destroy the private ownership of property.  They understand correctly that the two concepts of property and family are inexorably linked.  As long as there is a Biblical family there will be private property and where there is no private property the family is endangered.   That is why the strategy of usurping the families God-given functions in the areas of child training, economic production and charity have been pursued so vigorously.   Dave Buehner guest hosts with Steve Vaughn to discuss how God's blueprint for family life is comprehensive including: economics, inheritance, care for the elderly, education, chastisement, charity, household formation and much more.  Only when God's designs are followed can one expect to receive God's blessing of life to the full.
