Greetings and welcome! This is our daily devotional for September 18, 2023. Today we continue our study of the book of Acts in chapter 10 with the second and deeper meaning of Peter's vision. Spoiler alert! We are all one in Christ Jesus. Thanks for joining us.

The only source of lasting earthly joy is to know God through Christ. Christ revealed the Father's glory, so we can be reconciled to the Father. He came to us so the world might know and see the Father's love for His Son and His love eternal love for people.

May your prayers to God be from a pure heart seeking His glory.

Paul and the team head to Jerusalem to meet the church there. They are received with warmth by the brethren, but not so much by the unbelievers.

Our work for God's people is more than our duty, or an expression of our love for Christ, it is also our loving service for the people we have every reason to affectionately cherish as our spiritual family.

Matt and Alan continue the Gospel Community series as the look into the letter to the Colossians. Paul's prayer in chapter 2 shows us that the only way to truly grow in Christ is together with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Christ prayed for all in His church. His concern was for i) the salvation of them that would believer ii) for all true believers to know unity within truth revealed; and iii) ultimately be one with Him, just as He has always had perfect unity with the Father.

Even though Absalom's rebellion has been quashed, and reconciliation has begun, there is still tension between the tribes. This is the Forty Second Sermon in the Series Kingdom, Dynasty and Glory; an exposition on the Second Book of Samuel.
