God would provide the herbs, fruit, and grass to be the provision for all the animals of the Earth. But this wasn't enough for the image bearer of God. For man, God would create a special place, a garden that would become the dreams of men. Yet why was it the dream of man? I think it was what it symbolized. Join us as we explore the creation of Eden.

FreeGraceRadio.com - Psalm 52:8
"Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.
The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue. God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him: Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints."

Grace Community Reformed - Revelation 22:1-5

In this part of Mark's Gospel, we are shown that what was going on in Jerusalem at the time was empty ritualism, not living faith. Jesus looked for the little berries on the fig tree that would have proceeded the flowers and fruit, but He found none – and so He cursed it. Then He walked into the Temple in Jerusalem. It was an externally beautiful building, but the interior was corrupted with greedy people who had set up a marketplace and were talking advantage of even the poorest of God's people. Sadly, this still goes on today. It is God Who needs to be worshiped, not we who need to be entertained.
Jesus was righteously angry at all this. Just like the fig tree, He found no spiritual fruit within the glorious and beautiful Temple. After seeing the dead fig tree again, He used this as an opportunity to teach His disciples a lesson about faith. He was not saying that the Lord will just dump blessings on you if you pray hard enough. But God did move heaven and earth to procure the forgiveness of our sins. Do we believe that? Jesus came for us to have a living faith, not just a trust in signs and symbols.

In our study, the Apostles are in jail until the Angel of the Lord (Jesus!) breaks them out and tells them to confront the leaders of the nation of Israel with the Gospel.

Any logical, honest observer sees this fallen world and the death that mars life constantly and just knows there is something wrong with this picture. This was prophesied and fulfilled nearly 6,000 years ago by the Lord Himself!

The Most Powerful Chapter in the Bible. Genesis 3:1-24 This High lights verses 14-15. Sin is to be judged; perfect justice is to be executed. It was true in the beginning with Adam; it will be true with us in the final judgment of all men. This passage covers the first judgment ever pronounced upon earth. The word enmity (ebhah) means hatred, antagonism, hostility. In the Bible it is always used to refer to the enmity between people, not animals. This fact alone, as well as the rest of this part of the judgment, points to the tempter being the devil and not just a serpent.Without this chapter their would be no sin and no salvation.Christ would not go to the cross, for the only reason for Calvary was human sin. This is the seed plot for the whole Bible. It is the first prophecy of the Lord Jesus Christ and was Gods judgment against the serpent and the fall of man. These verses 14-15 speak of the virgin birth, regeneration and salvation through the blood of the substitute and through the faith of man.

Nebuchadnezzar needed to know the true God. God was being very gracious to him. It was important for him to listen and repent and believe in the true God.

That person is blessed who delights in God's word. Life in this world rests securely in God's loving care, and fear of future judgment is abated because of humility, confession, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. But this satisfaction is denied those who disregard God and His word, who revel in their disobedience, and scoff at God's righteous standards. Only by forsaking sin and believing Christ can a wicked person be made righteous and enter eternal glory.

God is able to set up kings and bring them down. He will be exalted in all things. It is important for pagans to know the true God.

Taylor's Chapel Baptist Church - Joshua 24:14-28; Genesis 35:1-5
Joshua brings Israel together at Shechem to renew the covenant and offers them a choice, serve the idols of the land or the one true God. We all worship something, it is hardwired into us, and if you are not serving God, then you are serving something (self, money, power, position, looks, alcohol, drugs, work, health, sex, environment, children--something). We cannot simply say, "God forbid" No, we must serve only the Lord by renouncing all competitors, for he is a jealous God and serving in fear, sincerity, and truth. We also cannot do it alone; we need the Lord's help. Let us follow the example of Joshua and say, "But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

I want to tell you this story about the first humans in a perfect Garden who met up with a talking snake. The events in the Garden of Eden in Genesis Chapter 3 had profound effects upon the human race. Satan, the great Deceiver, managed to convince Eve to eat of the fruit of the tree from which God had forbidden them to eat. Adam followed her lead instead of God's command, and also ate the forbidden fruit. .
God's responded by turning Satan into a creature condemned to crawling on his belly. Yahweh God also declared that the descendent of the woman would bruise his head, while Satan's descendent would bruise the heel of the woman's descendent.
Satan's fate was sealed in the coming of the Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, whose death and resurrection brought the fatal curse on Satan's head.
