The way Jesus serves us is the way we are to serve others.

The sufficiency of Christ is manifested to and in Believers through a circumcision of the heart by the Lord. Baptism (Immersion) is an outward act of faith in Christ with whom we died, were buried and raised again. It's a public confession testifying of the faith revealed in the heart of the New Man of grace. These are all accomplished in the Believer by the quickening of grace by the Spirit in regeneration.

The Word of God is the Spirit-inspired message to which the church must submit for all its spiritual needs. In this text, Paul explains to Timothy 1) What the Word is, 2) What the Word does, and 3) How the Word works.

By the scriptures, the Spirit of God is teaching the church that there is nothing more you need than what God has freely and abundantly given to his people in Christ Jesus. Having warned us to beware of: philosophy, vain deceits, traditions and rudiments of the world, he goes on to declare the sufficiency of Christ to save his people to the uttermost.

Why can Christians be sure that the Scriptures will make them wise unto salvation? 2Timothy 3:16–17 looks forward to the second serial reading of in morning public worship on the coming Lord's Day. In these two verses of Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that Christian's can be sure that the Scriptures will make them wise unto salvation, because they are God's Word for doing God's work in God's man for God's man's works.
