As Asaph had struggled with himself and wrestled with God, now at the last, the day dawned and he prevailed with His God…. Psalm 77:10. Knowing and believing that God had not forsaken him, Asaph was now able to detach his mind from being overwhelmed and consumed by his earthly troubles and to fix his heart and mind by faith on His faithful God who was ALWAYS right there with him!

In this message of the nobleman and his dying son, we have seen a beginning faith and a persistent faith; and an obedient faith. Now in closing we shall see his faith confirmed and a witnessing faith.

The trials of your faith should never weaken you, or drive you away from God, (that is NOT their design), but they should strengthen you in your faith in Christ and drive you toward Him with even greater resolve and trust. Beloved of God, THIS is what every trial and every overwhelming trouble should do in our lives, this is what should happen in our souls! By faith, we should be able to personally recite David's words as if they were our own!

The mystery hid for ages is now made known in the gospel. And God displays his love and grace through great sacrifices and the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit to form the hope of Christ in his elect people in Christ to reveal this salvation in them.

We are all dead in spiritual slumber, until God makes His effectual call to us, quickening us back to life. He calls us to life in Him by Grace through faith in the preaching of His word. which infuses us with His life through the spirit leading us into all the truths of His word. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, we must pray that God would strengthen the inner man.

Why is Solomon's story included in our Bible. Perhaps it's so that we will never go through the terrible dismal realities he experienced. Regardless of the lessons Solomon shares with us, we can still be fixed on how things would differ if we had his wealth, power and wisdom. Colossians 1:1-14 " Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother, 2 ¶ To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 ¶ We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, 4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, 5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; 6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: 7 As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; 8 Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit. 9 ¶ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; 12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: The Incomparable Christ 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:"

There are in this passage, such wonderful words of expression which came forth from the lips of these two blessed women to each other. And they have application to us today. Let me give you now, 3 things to think about in relation to holding communion with others of your brethren. I want to speak to you 1st of all – Of Mary's great desire to share her joy with Elizabeth, and how this applies to us. 2nd – Of Elizabeth's prophetic response to Mary and how this applies to us here today. And 3rd – Of how it is that by the blessings of fellowship, their faith was established and strengthened, and how this too applies to us. May the Lord establish our fellowship with each other by means of this message.

prayer is a strategic place for Christians. Paul ministers: preaching and praying. This section is on prayer. Prayer strengthens the inner man. Verse 16 trinitarian verse. The quantity is unlimited-the Holy Spirit. v17 Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith. V18 Routed and grounded in love knowledge. the vastness of Christs love v19 To feel/know (enjoy) the love of Christ. Paul wants us to know more of what we already know. Paul wants us to be filled with the fullness of God (Doxology) God can do all abundantly-all we think or ask.

Loving, Fruitful, Strenghened and Thankful. A bread and butter sermon. What it means to be treanslated from the power of darkness into the Kikndom of God.
