An exposition of Isaiah 53:1-12

God's going to judge us for our deeds whether they be good or evil. Everything we do will be brought to light good or bad. It will be brought to light in this life or at the throne of judgement. We are to build the church with the word of God. Some have built it with traditions, and some have built it with sin. It's high time we tear the roof off to get to Jesus.

Sermon #1 - Revelation Chapter 1 (Jesus Revealed) of the 2023 Revelation Series. Pastor Randy kicked off his sermon series; he emphasized that the book of Revelation is all about the events leading up to and including the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the culmination of our present age. Of the 404 verses in Revelation, 278 of them are direct references or allusions to Old Testament Scripture; therefore, it is evident that John expected his readers to have a full understanding of the OT prophecies related to the end times. Pastor Randy also emphasized that most of Revelation is yet future and that the key to its understanding is found in Rev. 1:19, which lays out the three-fold natural outline of the book.

Union with Christ is the great factor in properly accounting for believers' suffering

We learn that God's will is free but is in line with His nature and that we are responsible to do His revealed will.

The coming of Messiah, promised in the OLD and fulfilled in the NEW Testament, include his birth, character, work, teaching, sufferings, death, and even his resurrection. This is the grandest and most central theme of the Bible. The OLD Testament is in the NEW Testament, revealed; and the NEW Testament is in the OLD, concealed. In chapter 35 Isaiah concealed four specific prophecies in verses 5&6, that are revealed by Matthew, Mark, and John (three of the four writers of the gospels) as being fulfilled by Jesus. Unbeknownst to most, fulfilled prophecy is found in the Bible ALONE! The OLD Testament predictions are so minute, so voluminous, and so complete, that I would suggest no honest person, who truly examines the Messianic prophecies in the Bible, could come to any other logical conclusion than they could be fulfilled by anyone other than Jesus of Nazareth. Nowhere in any literature of the world, secular or religious, can you find a duplicate of the astounding miracle of the pre-written history of Jesus' life. Indeed, nothing but Divine prescience could have foreseen this miracle, and nothing but Divine intervention could have accomplished it in such detail.

Today Pastor Bill Bradshaw starts a series on Romans. Authored by Paul while he was in Corinth Roman's is a book filled with a wealth of wisdom and insight into the heart of God for humanity. Pastor Bradshaw draws a contrast between the righteous and the unrighteous and how God reveals Himself to each. Live by faith this week under God's righteousness. God bless!

Social media has opened up a wave of self-proclaimed ministers - and the concept of doing ministry has been watered down as a result. But Paul's ministry wasn't based on building a platform or a following. It was one that compelled him to exalt Christ and expend himself. In this sermon, Pastor Jesse unpacks Col. 1:24-27. Nebuchadnezzar has had a dream and Daniel has given the intrepretation. Now Daniel has been given a dream and we are going to hear the intrepretaion of it.

Our Lord reveals the truth to his people. By the Spirit and the life of Christ given to the people of God they hear Christ's voice. Truth must be revealed. When it is revealed to the Sinner, truth reveals the kingdom of God. Truth reveals that Christ is the King of his kingdom. Truth reveals the purpose of Christ's coming. Truth reveals them that are born of God. And faith embraces this truth.

God asks us questions not because He lacks information. God asks us questions because it forces us to think about the answers. Pastor Sanders takes the congregation of Chardon Christian Fellowship through two areas of the scriptures where God asks some important questions and the one important question that we all have to answer and that is what do you do with Jesus. The trial of Christ by the Jews and Pilate reveals the wicked heart of the natural man. What we are in the flesh is exposed by Christ and his gospel. Only a new heart, by the grace of God reveals love, hope and faith in us, which looks to Christ rather than this world. By the grace of God in Christ, we shall look to him in true, spiritual faith born from above.

Set Apart: But Not Alone. 1 Cor. 2:6-16;John 14:16To "have the mind of Christ" does not mean we are infallible and start playing God in the lives of other people. Nobody instructs God!One of the marks of maturity is discernment—the ability to penetrate beneath the surface of life and see things as they really are. Unsaved people "walk by sight" and really see nothing. They are spiritually blind. The maturing Christian grows in his spiritual discernment and develops the ability (with the Spirit's help) to understand more and more of the will and mind of God. Paul was telling the Corinthian Church they were lacking in wisdom and discernment.As God's children,we have something far greater than worldly wisdom.The Holy Spirit helps us understand the things of GOD.The Holy Spirit helps us see things from Christ's perspective.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

All of creation groans and is waiting for the adoption of the sons of God. We not only groan but creation is under the same curse. The fall of Adam brought a judgment not only on Adam and his descendants but upon the natural kingdom. The animal kingdom suffers and waits for its redemption from the curse. Paul personifies creation as waiting for our full redemptive glorification when the curse will lifted.

The Apostle Paul quotes the Prophet Isaiah in the Book of Romans about the Gospel concerning salvation and faith. In the Church period, it is extremely necessary that our belief (Faith) has a basis in the word of Truth brought by Jesus, saying Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand. This has to be more than a historical belief but one born of faith by the will and word of God.

What does it mean in verse 37, when the question is asked – "And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? What does the word, "arm" mean here? I believe that the term – God's arm being revealed, refers to Christ, who is His right hand Man. God's right hand and His holy arm, who is Christ, has gained the victory of our salvation, in Him. (Psalm 98: 1) A further question that should come to us then, is this – Why must the arm of the Lord be revealed if a person is to be saved, and to really come to know God? I want to give you two answers to that question. 1st of all – The arm of the Lord must be revealed because without this revelation, God's way of salvation in Christ will be rejected. (verses 38 & 39) And 2nd – The arm of the Lord must be revealed because of man's need to receive efficacious grace, which will bring him to faith in Christ. (verse 41) Let's see if we can come to understand these things in the way that God would have us to understand them.

Like the sin, confusion and darkness experienced by all people in this life, this chapter has perplexed and confused many as to what it means. We know it speaks of Christ. We know the gospel is revealed here, because all the scripture reveals Christ and his purpose. The grace of God is not lacking in this chapter. In fact we see parallels to the bride of Christ in the chosen bride of Samson. And in the Riddle spoken by Samson, we see the mystery of God that was hidden. Which now is published and revealed to the people, whereby sinners receive the wedding garment of Christ's righteousness by grace.

God has designed the perfect armor for you to wear in your conflict with Satan and his angels.As a believer you are in this war and need to always be wearing this wonderful armor so that you will stand firm against the schemes of the devil. This is a study of the glory that God alone deserves and which will be revealed, without end, forever and ever. Out of the riches of His glory come His most wonderful gifts to us, His vessels of mercy. His glory is powerfully revealed in His glorious gospel, as the gospel makes clear what His character is truly like. Here we look at God's wonderful grace towards us as revealed and brought to pass in the cross of Christ and how this grace should show forth in our daily lives.

There are ways to know the answer to the Two questions in the first verse. It is completely in the realm of the spiritual to be one that judges all things to know who believes, just as you know a tree by the fruit it bears. Of course, there are the ones that believe but it is not revealed to them who God is, and it doesn't come with wisdom and understanding.
