Giving Credit where Credit is Due
This is the video version of "He Gives — as He Pleases"
Blessings and good morning… today's message was shared on October 8, 2023, and we're so glad you joined us.
We'll look in Daniel's message and see the God who graces, gives, glorifies, and tears down and takes away. The One we can entrust ourselves and all that we have into His care and cause. Also, let's pray for God's will to be done and for the leaders around the globe. We lift up holy hands to the Lord, with no animosity or anxiety — surrendered and submissive to His choices and cause. 1 Timothy 2
And these are a few truths to help you with those you do life with and those you encounter on the roads of life.
So pray for Israel and for peace… that we can do our work peacefully, nonetheless, we have a word and work to fulfill during peaceful days and when times are unstable.
It's important to note — that Israel is currently an enemy of the gospel.
"For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own [f]opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in… Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election, they are beloved for the sake of the fathers…" Romans 11:25-29
They are and have been preserved by God for a future work within the purposes of God. The times and timetable of this work rest safely in the hands of God. Because of His eternal covenant, they are kept as a nation for a future wonder in the wisdom of God. He has and will preserve them as a people but has not protected them individually from danger, death, and destructio
Come Sunday night for amazing comfort from John 10.27-30 with help from Canons of Dort 5.3. Many Christians love the imagery given by the Lord here, of being safe in His hand and the Father's hand. I pray you will attend to see more clearly how we are secure in Jesus Christ.Responsive Reading of Psalm 89:1-18

Sermon: "God's Mighty Hand!"
Theme: We are preserved by God's mighty hand in the grace He has conferred on us
Those who 'listen to His voice' are the converted
Having received the gift of eternal life, we follow Him
But we would fail and fall away if we follow in our power
We are preserved in salvation by God's mighty hand

Abraham is a figure of every child of God. They are children of faith, like Abraham, who believed God and it was accounted to him (imputed) for righteousness. In Genesis 12 we see seven examples that reveal what God does for everyone of those he graciously saves by the blood redemption of Jesus Christ. God chooses whom he will. God calls them out of darkness and idolatry. God reveals faith in them as his gift to them. God blesses them in Christ. God tries his children; proving their faith to them to cause them to know and learn of him. God's children find that they are sinners in this flesh, to know their continuous need of his grace and to be gracious to their brethren. God preserves his children to the end. In Abram, as a figure of every Believer, we see our need of God's grace from beginning to end for Christ's sake.
Verse by verse exposition through the book of 1 Thessalonians. (Sermon also includes the reading and exhortation from the Lord's Table liturgy) 5:23 "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it."
Jesus proclaimed, "It is finished," just before He died. What exactly did Jesus finish? We shall answer that question with "simple" words (i.e., purged, washed, bought, purchased, perfected, healed, and put away. Part 3 of the Faith that is Primitive series).

THE BIBLE'S STORY: The Flood Pt. 4
1 ¶ Then God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.
2 The fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were also stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained.
3 And the waters receded continually from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters decreased.
4 Then the ark rested in the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.
5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen. Genesis 8:1-5
This Lord's Day Pastor Randy continues a Reformation Day series on The Basics of Bible History, or THE BIBLE'S STORY, a survey of the major events that shape our understanding of the Scriptures and our place in the the world in which we live!
As we continue studying the Flood we see not only the destruction of all that was… but also the preservation of life on pretty much every level.
God's creation, the Fall, and the Flood shape how we see ourselves and everything in the world. Despite all the bad, we see God is still at work. He sets apart a remnant for Himself and the future He has planned. If we're connected to God and His grace, then we are by grace a part of that future.
Biblical Authority is not just a nice sounding catchy phrase. It must be the basis of a true church. There is only one foundation upon which we can build and that foundation is Jesus Christ. We can only build on Him if we know Him. We know Him through His Word and through personal salvation.
The Doctrines of Grace and the Gospel - Message 5 - Preserved So We Persevere - Romans 8:29-30. An examination of the doctrine of preservation, or perseverance of the saints. What does the Word of God tell us about God's plan and purposes for securing His people? How should that affect our sharing the Gospel with the lost? What promises can we make based on God's Word?
How do we handle a cleverly schemed false teaching that has crept into our church? What are the signs that someone is spreading heresy in an attempt to deceive us? What does it mean that satan is defeated while we know he is still throwing blows? Please listen to "Running With the Right Focus," by Pastor Jamie Hawkins, and find all the answers to these questions and more.
