The Son of God came to give the children of God understanding of His undeniable absolute truth such that they would know the beginning and the end. Where do you go for truth? Daniel 11 and 12 provides an answer.

The majesty of Christ confirms the truth of His word and makes the people of God hungry to know more of Him. "Do you know why I have come?" This is the questioned asked of Daniel by the "man". It is a question that we need to be asking ourselves about Jesus: "Do you know why He came?" This passage in Daniel tells the reader much about why the Son of God came.

"And that night the King could not sleep". In this pivotal chapter learn who the main character is in the world and in your life. And learn how God's sovereignty brings blessing to those who honor the One whom God delights to honor, and judgment to those who will not bow the knee to Him.

We left off last week talking about miracles. A lot of things get called miracles. And a lot of people demand miracles to solve their problems. But, other than salvation – where a spiritually dead person is miraculously brought to life by the Holy Spirit – miracles are very rare occurrences. Instead, God gives us simple rules and principles to live by. And those are often His preferred method to solving our problems. But regardless of what calamity befalls us, God wants to use these trials to build our spiritual muscles, as we'll learn in the second half of today's message from Pastor Pierre.

Tension builds as Esther comes to the King, even though she has not been called. And Haman contrives to kill Mordecai. It shouldn't be like this! Get windows on the world, your own heart, and the Kingdom of God through this fascinating message on Esther 5.

There's far more involved in the conflict between Mordecai and Haman than you realize. Learn about that, and also about the "Anti-Ahasuerus" in this message from Esther chapter 3.

One of the great surprises of the Bible is God has always been a God of grace. You see this time and again in the new testament, but the surprise comes when you discover the LORD God of Hosts is a God of grace in the old testament as well. No one expresses this more clearly than Isaiah who goes back and forth throughout his writings with a two-pronged message to Israel to come back to the Lord, While simultaneously, "in spite of all they have done, His hand is still stretched out" waiting for them to come back into a relationship with Him. We do a big chunk of Isaiah chapters 9-11 in this session, and see the Lord's graciousness to Israel throughout.

The story of Esther worried the early church and even some more recent theologians. How could a book of the Bible not mention God by name? And also, how can a book of the Bible – God's holy Word – contain such spicy content and negative examples? God inspired this record of real events, and He also inspired the author to write it just as he did to remind us that a silent God is not an absent God. And more importantly, God is faithful at all times, even when we can't see the final outcome. Those fact make life today worth living too.
