Chapter 2. True, biblical meditation contrasted from unbiblical forms of meditation. Proper meditation is to dwell upon that which comes from God in His Word—not to dwell upon that which comes from or appeals to our own hearts, and certainly not to dwell upon nothing at all lest our minds become easy prey.
There are no new heresies - just wrong teaching recycled in repackaged ways for new audiences. In this sermon, Pastor Jesse unpacks Col. 2:18-19, teaching us about several aspects of the Colossian heresy and the danger the heresy presented to the Colossian believers through its promotion of false humility, false worship, visions, arrogance, and lack of focus on Christ. Discover ways in which these false teachings are still around today, just in different forms, and why you need to be on guard against them in your own life.
In our sixth part of our mini-series on the Holy Spirit, we look at the Spirit's ministry of illumination, which helps us simultaneously understand the Bible and grow closer to God. But, why is this ministry necessary? Can't we understand the Bible on our own? Surprisingly, this ministry is primarily for Christians alone, and not non-Christians. As we walk through our Christian life, what are some practical ways that will allow us to better experience this ministry of the Spirit?
CURRENT EVENTS UPDATE: (1) The FBI and CDC are dishonest government organizations lying and hiding the true statistics regarding armed citizens stopping crime, and (2) EMDR psycho-therapy is being exposed as nothing more than re-packaged occultism using the techniques of eastern mystical religions, the new age, etc.
In our study, the apostles lead by Peter preach the facts of Jesus being murder by death on the Cross and the reality of His bodily resurrection which "cuts to the heart" of the leaders of Israel. We see their initial reaction being tamed by the worldly (and only partially accurate) wisdom of Gamaliel. But the apostles are still severely persecuted even as they praise God for being worthy to suffer shame for His name.

Verdad Para Recordar: El creyente cumple totalmente en Cristo las demandas de la ley…
How do we resist an aggressive and compelling urge to sin? Are there examples in the Bible of the Lord's ability to keep change our unGodly desires? Will there ever come a time that we are able to change the direction of our hearts, by our own power? Please listen to the teaching "the Word and the Power" (The Power to Purify), by Pastor Jamie.
In Christ you are complete! Therefore let no one judge you because of what you do or don't eat or what days you will or won't observe, nor are you to let them make you think you are not a Christian because they suppose themselves to be far more "Spiritual" than you. False teachers are abusive because they lead you away from your only hope, Jesus Christ! Stay away from them!
There is no power by which one may manipulate God, no power from what God has made except what God Himself gives by the right use of it, and no power in addition to God. It is a mortal offense to act as if there is.
After Christianity reached its pinnacle in the mid-1600s, dominant philosophies began to influence thinking into a gradual decline. Today we see the results as pagan worldviews are accelerating. Hear about six men who influenced thinking negatively during the last five hundred years resulting in the chaotic culture of today. See how the authority for knowledge was shifted from the revealed Word of God to the unstable minds of humans and understand that all of us have been affected by this.

About Today's Guest
Raised in Christian Science, Doreen Virtue was formerly the top-selling New Age author at the world's largest New Age publisher, until Jesus opened her eyes to the gospel. She got baptized for the first time, began spreading the gospel message, and denouncing the New Age. After getting fired from her New Age publisher and losing most of her friends, some of her family members, enduring cruel slander and spiritual warfare, and losing her home, Doreen and her husband, Michael, began rebuilding their lives on the solid foundation of Jesus. They learned how to trust in God, instead of trying to predict or control the future. Today, they live in the Pacific Northwest where they attend a biblically solid church and Doreen attends seminary studying biblical theology so that she won't be deceived again. Find Doreen on Instagram and YouTube.
