Rich people can be saved. It is more difficult for them because they often trust in their riches. Joseph chose to identify openly with Jesus after His death. He finally saw the importance of knowing Jesus Christ and he knew others needed to know Him as well.

Smyrna {Myrrh} was experiencing local persecution especially from the Jews {Synagogue of Satan}. This is true of every church which stands focused on Christ as their "first love". It is true of believers also of which the church is composed. Does the world love and accept you?

The more you worship Jesus as the true King, the wiser you'll be.

Because Jesus is the King of Kings, I must give to Him the honor and praise He is due with both my trust and my life.

This text concerning the wise men raises many questions. Who were these wise men? How many were there? Where did they come from? What was this star that they followed? But the most important question is: how did they know the king of the Jews had born, and was worthy of worship? And, more practically, how will we recognize the true identity of Jesus?

Who were the magi ... and why did they come to worship the newborn King of the Jews? How did they even know to head toward Bethlehem, when none of the Jewish religious leaders did? And what can we learn form this remarkable narrative?

We have come now to the end of the book of Song of Solomon. My preaching of it to you has been a real delight for me personally. For as I have told you many times, the truths that Solomon by the Spirit of God placed here for us, are meant to give us instruction on how we can deepen our heart relationship with Christ. The design of Christ in and through this book is for you to come to the place where you will see Him as your First Love, and that you would not leave off loving Him. Instead you will often be praying that Christ would make haste and be like a gazelle or a young stag on the mountains of spices. What does this mean? What is being referred to, here? Well, I believe that it is evident that the Bride is longing for her Bridegroom's Coming. And I think that we can open this subject up by thinking about her words, as 1st of all – The Old Testament saints who longed for His 1st Coming in His Incarnation, and what He would do for sinners. And then, 2nd – Of all the New Testament saints who long for His 2nd Coming, where He will take us to be with Himself forever. Let us ponder what our own prayers should be, as we think about Christ's Coming.

It is traditional that when someone dies for them to be given a traditional burial; and so, Joseph of Arimathea wanted to see to it that Jesus had a traditional Jewish burial. His enemies were concerned that his disciples might try to steal his body, and so they wanted to make sure that didn't happen.

How did the Magi find the Christ Child? What is the significance of the gifts they gave?

This book is speaking of the spiritual marital love relationship which exists between Christ and His Church. He is the Bridegroom; she is the Bride. This relationship of marriage between a man and a woman is expressly spoken of as a "mystery" in Ephesians Chapter 5, verse 32. There are spiritual realities in this relationship between Christ and His Church which are well pictured by the earthly marriage relationship. When a couple comes to see how important their faithfulness is to one another; how it pictures the love of Christ and His Church, and they live this out in their relationship, it is a good witness to others. A good marital relationship preaches the gospel to the people in picture form, to those who are looking on, at their life. In this message I want to speak to you about one of the great reasons that Christ's virgins love Him. Specifically, we are told here in verse 3, it is because of the fragrance of His good ointments. So let us ask ourselves now, a couple of important questions. 1st of all – Who are these virgins and what are the ointments which they are so pleased with? 2nd Question – Why is His name to them as ointment poured forth?

This message clarifies much of the error concerning the wise men that came to Jesus. However, the main point of the message is the fact that anyone, like the wise men, that come to Christ leave a different way.
