God has designed the perfect armor for you to wear in your conflict with Satan and his angels. As a believer you are in this war and need to always be wearing this wonderful armor so that you will stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
Here we look at important things to pray for: knowing His glory and glorifying Him in all that we do. The Father glorified Him by giving Him the Father's works to do, as He accomplished these works He perfectly revealed the glory of the Father. The Lord Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to the church on the day of Pentecost, so that now we are to glorify the Son in all that we do. The Holy Spirit is our helper to enable us to know God's glory and live out that glory by the indwelling Holy Spirit. This is a study of the glory that God alone deserves and which will be revealed, without end, forever and ever. Out of the riches of His glory come His most wonderful gifts to us His vessels of His mercy.
Much of what our Lord did and does may appear insignificant to human eyes. And yet the parables he tells in Luke 13:18–21 show us not only the small beginnings of the kingdom of God, but also its definite though gradual progress, all the way through to its final triumph.
Last week we talked about the liberty we have in Christ. It isn't a liberty to live any way we want, but a freedom to serve Christ. Paul was amazed that some of the Galatians were giving up this liberty and returning to Jewish law. These people were thinking they were adding something good to the Gospel, but in reality they had left the Gospel. This is why it was so dangerous. In our section for study today, Paul gives an analogy about false doctrine. In this analogy, he shows how a little leaven, added to the bread dough, will leaven the whole lump. This is an excellent study which every one of us should heed. There are two groups, true and false believers, a warning, and two responses to the warning. I wish that every Christian could hear and understand this section with its implications.
The sovereignty of God is humbling to the human nature of mankind. Realization and recognition of the sovereignty of God can be the basis of much needed peace, joy, confidence, and relief as He is known as He is. His authority and control with full power make certain His plans and purposes are being accomplished according to His perfect will. God has chosen to provide salvation for some out of the entire mass of humanity, all of which are sinful, undeserving, and helpless. He is not obligated to save any but has chosen according to His good purpose, for His glory, to do so. All who are not chosen will get no less than the punishment they deserve by their choice of having rejected His word and the work of His Savior. Those who hear the gospel and reject it are naturally being hardened against God and unless He chooses to intervene, will suffer the consequences of their will that opposed God's. Those who seek Him will be received by Him because He will have first given that desire to do so.
Romans 11:16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. 19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Romans 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? 22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: 23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, 24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Romans 9:19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? 20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? 22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: 23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, 24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Puritan Hard Drive at http://ow.ly/fPY4o
If you love the Bible, then you may well be Reformed. If you think of yourself as Reformed, but you have seldom or have never read older Reformed literature, prepare to be challenged. The Puritan Hard Drive provides primary sources and depth of theological and spiritual insight which is lacking in much of what is passed off as genuine Reformed theology. If you think of yourself as conservative, the older Puritan and Reformed authors will help you sort reality from myth in your quest to be truly Reformed. There are more solid resources for less money here than anywhere else. I highly recommend you take responsibility for your soul and spend a few shekels for this cup of cold water in the midst of the modern religious desert.

If you want to understand Reformed theology (i.e., the whole counsel of God) the Puritan Hard Drive is unsurpassed, outside the Bible itself. The First and Second Reformations gave us the most faithful Scriptural teaching and preaching since the time of the Apostles, and there is no other resource, outside Scripture itself, where you can find so much of God's truth as in the Puritan Hard Drive (http://ow.ly/fPY4o).
May the Lord continue to use this most profitable tool to promote a Third Reformation that encompasses the whole world (Isaiah 2:2-4)!
