Kindness is not merely vague "niceness" but love enacted – useful action applied, best demonstrated by the saving work of Jesus.

Fruit of the Spirit: Patience, Kindness, and Goodness

Do we know what love is? We often think it is a feeling or something you fall into. But, love is a choice and something you do. We learn in the 'Love Chapter' how we are to love and how we are not to. We are reminded in Colossians to choose to put off the old self and put on love. We also remember that Christ loved us first and is waiting and longing for us to love him back! What will you do today?

The apostle Paul was a master artist with words. The way he linked God's mercy and God's love is startling. He spoke of "rich mercy" and "great love". God's love is the theme of this message. It looks at three related passages: John 3:16, Romans 5:8 and 2 Corinthians 5:14. Paul concluded the verse saying, "he (God) loved us". Meditate upon God's love in light of our bondage to death, he world, the prince of darkness, the flesh and to God's wrath. Wow!

God is Love and all our efforts ought to be born out of this motivation!

Sermon on 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

God has designed the perfect armor for you to wear in your conflict with Satan and his angels.As a believer you are in this war and need to always be wearing this wonderful armor so that you will stand firm against the schemes of the devil. This is a study of the glory that God alone deserves and which will be revealed, without end, forever and ever. Our prayer is that we know His glory more and more, and then by His grace seek to live out or show forth His glory in our lives. Out of the riches of His glory come His most wonderful gifts to us, His vessels of mercy. His glory is powerfully revealed in His glorious gospel, as the gospel makes clear what His character is truly like. Here we continue to look at God's wonderful kindness revealed in giving of salvation through the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ and our responsibility to live out His kindness to those around us by the power of the Holy Spirit.
