Sermon Title: Temples Falling and Rising Theme: The true beauty of the Lord's Temple is her inner holiness and devotion to God. The Jewish people boast in the earthly temple's external adornments. Christ prophesies the coming destruction of this external adorning due to internal wickedness. Christ calls His disciples to lives adorned with godliness to escape His coming judgment.

Stop trying to doubt or dispute the Bible and simply just believe and obey the Bible.

God glorifies Himself in His Son, and those who come near hallow Him by coming only as He has commanded, by which obedience they come through His Son

The Day of Judgment.

The Lord Jesus taught the crowd how to see false teachers, and God's judgment. They crave being somebody and being honored. (v.38-39 and 40b) They use religion to hide their greed, and their taking advantage of others. (v.40a) They will receive God's judgment, which we all deserve. B.I.— Nations fall because of flagrant sin.

This message is based on Isaiah 6 and is a consideration of the call of Isaiah to be God's prophet, with a reading and explanation of the text. We see Isaiah's personal experience of encountering God in his holiness as Sovereign King of the universe resulting in his conviction of guilt and need for divine cleansing. Then from a position of a provided atonement he hears and answers the call of God to be his special prophet. What kind of commission is this when he is informed that people will not listen and repent so judgment is decreed? But in the midst of wrath and judgment God remembers mercy in accord with his covenant promises to send the Seed who is Jesus the Messiah..
