We examine one of the purposes of the word is to nourish the sheep. We only can grow strong, vibriant, healthy sound mind of mind with a well-balanced spiritual diet. The whole counsel of God is what Paul and the Apostles preached. Jesus told Peter three times to feed His sheep. That's one of the main purposes of The Word is to create right character in us.

In the midst of Paul reflecting on how he had handled himself while living and serving in Ephesus and the surrounding area, Paul issues some direct orders to these Elder themselves. Personally, it would involve careful and cautious and deliberate direction in their own lives by remaining focused on the goal. And then it involved protection and direction to God's flock under their care. Bring the flock into safe spiritual harbor. When the storms rage it is important to remain on course keeping a lifelong focus on the prize. Philippians 2:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Paul details the duties of children to obey their parents in the Lord and parents to discipline and instruct their children in the things of the Lord.

If we are to glorify Christ, we must be equipped. Be serious in prayer, have a fervent love for one another, and use our gift of ministry given to us by God.

Meditation on the word of God is key to becoming wither-proof.

The contrast between the wicked and the righteous starts with what each one values: the wicked man values godlessness, sin, and scoffing; while the righteous man delights in God's word. God's blessing comes to those who treat as precious the revelation He has given for our instruction and joy.

Why can Christians be sure that the Scriptures will make them wise unto salvation? 2Timothy 3:16–17 looks forward to the second serial reading of in morning public worship on the coming Lord's Day. In these two verses of Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that Christian's can be sure that the Scriptures will make them wise unto salvation, because they are God's Word for doing God's work in God's man for God's man's works.

In saying that all shall be taught of God, He's talking about those whom He has given a new heart, with the ability to comprehend and understand. Without this new birth, it is impossible, as He says you must be born again. His spiritual children just as newborn babes start to desire the milk of the word.

This message should be understood as singling God's spiritual children out that are born of the Spirit, who understands that this does not dismiss the need for a Pastor/teacher or any parts of the body of Christ. We know the need of assembling ourselves together, submit to one another, and take heed to sound biblical preaching and teaching, in no way causing us to be independent of one another, but operate as a flock.
