Paul's pattern for a healthy local church culture is reinforced by his greetings and commendations. He instructs the church at Rome to watch carefully, take note of those in error who cause divisions, and serve themselves not Christ.
In this first message in the series entitled, "Following Jesus Out!" we begin to build the historic, theological, and biblical context for coming out from false Christianity. We are called out, and we are called to hear the voice of our good Shepherd and enjoy new intimacy with him, and a new depth of fellowship with each other as we await his return.
A Chinese general has been quoted as saying, "Every battle is won or lost, before it is fought." Jesus, Paul, and Peter all said that false teachers would come into the church. The battle can be won before it is fought, if we know how they operate and are prepared for them. 2 Peter 2:10-16 is designed to prepare us.
