What does God know about the mind with which the Spirit intercedes for the saints? Romans 8:28–30 looks forward to the midweek sermon. In these three verses of Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to God's plan to glorify them in and with His Son.

As He prepared for Calvary, Christ's desire was to always be with His people. As believers we too must yearn for the presence of God, in our lives and churches. In this class we unpack some of the benefits of salvation.

Do you have faith in Christ's power to heal and do miraculous things? What about faith in His authority to forgive sins? Both of these things are miraculous and take great authority and power. Both should cause us to glorify God.

The glorious end-point of redemption is the glorification of the believer. Here is the sinless state of believers, the new resurrected body, the fullness of knowledge and a sharing in Christ's inheritance.

What is the end point toward which salvation is moving? For what has Christ laid hold upon his people? What are we reaching toward? Paul identifies our happy expectation, that we shall bear the image of the heavenly man. The obstruction is that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Therefore we anticipate a glorious transformation, in which we are instantaneously changed into the image of Jesus, made fit for the glory which lies ahead. This nerves us and stirs us for the service which we now render in anticipation of the glory to come.

Paul lists the benefits of being born again. this week He tells us about being adopted into Gods family! He also talks about evidences that prove to us we are Gods children.

Distresses of all sorts point us to Christ, and union with Him, which is cause for thanksgiving.

In our previous study, we looked deeper into what it means for God to "sanctify" us wholly. This time, we look at why Paul referred to the Spirit, Soul and Body. This Trichotomy of Man is an important matter for Bible believers to understand.
