Love for the Lord must be behind all our obedience and service for Him, wholehearted love for him. Also here, what it is to fear the Lord, the importance of family religion, and what it is to tempt God.
Now that David, and the tribe of Judah is, once again on the brink of war with their brethren Israel under the rebellion of Sheba, Joab decides to take matters into his own hands.

Dale Pearson teaches the seventh message in the Biblical Distinctions series, with a message titled, "07 - Entering the Family of God Vs. Enjoying Fellowship with God" reviewing:
A. The Differences.
B. The Similarities.
C. If a Believer in Christ Cannot Lose Salvation - What Can You Lose?
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. We rarely perceive the moving of a clock's hands as the visible reminder that life is slowly--sometimes quickly--passing us by. To focus on time makes one insane; but to ignore it makes one a fool. How are we to understand our role as "free" beings, when we seem to be held captive by the "tyranny of time?" Join us in Ecclesiastes 3 as we catch a glimpse of the Son's rays yet again, this time through His role of guiding human affairs and giving our "time under the sun" true and ultimate purpose.
In our sermon continuing our exposition of Paul's letter to Titus this week we will examine what the character and lives of those leading the churches of Jesus Christ are supposed to be and look like. In this study we will see what a blameless family looks like and why pastors are also called "overseers" and "stewards." Does the private and personal lives of our leaders' truly matter, be they the President of a country, a Fortune 500 CEO, or the head of a local church? Does a church leaders' marriage and the behavior of his children play a role in determining if he is fit for the ministerial office? Are fathers responsible for the salvation of their children or their conduct once they leave the home? We pray you'll join us for our sermon "The Pastoral Office (Part III)" as we seek to honor God and answer these questions biblically from our in-depth study of Titus 1:5-9!
