The Doctrine of Election , Chap. 10, pt 5

What does God know about the mind with which the Spirit intercedes for the saints? Romans 8:28–30 looks forward to the midweek sermon. In these three verses of Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to God's plan to glorify them in and with His Son.

Of all that God completely owns, He specially chooses His Church alone to love. God Chose and Loves to Love You.

This is the 4th message in this series dealing with the "glory of God" as set forth in II Corinthians 4 & 5. It was preached at Grace Baptist of Ruston Louisiana.

This lesson is part of an ongoing verse by verse series on the epistle of Ephesians. It was taught in the adult Bible class at Grace Baptist of Ruston.

Verse by verse exposition of the book of 2 Kings. PM sermons are preceded by a Confessional, Catechism, or Historic Creed lesson. (Usually 5 minutes or so) Heidelberg Catechism 31: Q. Why is he called "Christ," meaning "anointed"? A. Because he has been ordained by God the Father and has been anointed with the Holy Spirit to be our chief prophet and teacher who fully reveals to us the secret counsel and will of God concerning our deliverance; our only high priest who has delivered us by the one sacrifice of his body, and who continually pleads our cause with the Father; and our eternal king who governs us by his Word and Spirit, and who guards us and keeps us in the freedom he has won for us. 32: Q. But why are you called a Christian? A. Because by faith I am a member of Christ and so I share in his anointing. I am anointed to confess his name, to present myself to him as a living sacrifice of thanks, to strive with a free conscience against sin and the devil in this life, and afterward to reign with Christ over all creation for eternity.

Christians are divine recipients of God's blessings.

Electing love sent Jesus to save us by being the opposite of what we are, bringing the opposite of what we deserve, and bearing the opposite of what He deserves.
