15- Why are Christians and Catholics held to a different standard by the secular world?
32- Weak preaching, the failure of the modern pastor.
40- Churches are selling themselves, using sales pitches to gain members.
Are we being faithful to present the gospel to the next generation? Paul says this must be done that those who follow may be brought to full maturity in Christ.

Why does the Apostle's Creed refer to the catholic church? In this section, we talk about the controversial but important section on the the church and the communion of the saints.

In Acts 28 finally, through many dangers Paul arrives in that ancient City.
In Acts 28 we read: Acts 28:16 And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.
From Acts 28 we understand that Paul spent two years in a hired house under Roman Guard.
In Rome Paul took the opportunity to witness to both Jews and Gentiles.
Paul always had a concern for his people the Jews to hear the Gospel and often Paul would witness to the Jews first when he came to various cities.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Paul's policy was to share with the Jew first in numbers of cities:
Paul had been a zealous Jew before his conversion and the Jews were a people group that he could also easily identify with to bring the Gospel truths to them.
So in Acts 28 just days after Paul gets to Rome, Paul calls the Jewish leaders to meet with him.
Paul knew that the Jews were religious, but yet not right with God and they needed the Gospel.
Rom 10:1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
Have you got a people group that you can understand exactly how they think and then be a witness to them?

19:54 - Tim describes his considerable research into Early Church history & the writings of the Early Church fathers which led to his research series entitled "The Collapse of the Eucharist." How do Roman Catholics justify their tradition of the Eucharist? Roman Catholics say it is justified by Early Christian history & tradition going back to the apostles. Catholic apologists declared the "Eucharistic Challenge" daring anyone to go back into Early Christian Church history & prove that the Roman Catholic church does not practice the "Eucharistic Sacrifice" the same as the Early Church & apostles. Thus Timothy Kauffman took them up on their "challenge." By the way Christian Answers has an entire playlist called "Dealing with Anti Trinitarians (UPC) & Early Church History" with 87 videos.

Here in 1 Kings 16 we trace the stubtle but sure decline from pragmatism and compromise to full blown apostacy and heathen worship in Israel. Follow the Link.

There are remakable similarities between Christless Judaism and Roman Catholicism. We'll consider some of the similarities. Then we'll see how Roman Catholic apologists cleverly and subtly deceive through the use of biblical vocabulary with unbiblical defintions of those words. Catholicism lies about its reverence for the Word, lies about its worship of Mary (saying it's not worship), lies about justificaion by faith, and many other things.
We'll also consider the huge number of "evangelicals" who signed ecumenical documents like "ECT" and "The Manhattan Declaration", which pretend that Catholics are Christians and that we're all on the same team.

I. Christians are fellow citizens with the saints in the City of God, the New Jerusalem.
II. Christians are of God's household
III. The church is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, not on so many other things that men like to try to build the church on.
IV. Jesus Christ is the indispensable cornerstone
V. The church is growing into a holy temple in the Lord.

Gospel Light Baptist Church - Matthew 5:14-16
Lux Lucet in Tenebris is a Latin phrase meaning "the light shines in the darkness." This was the theme of the Waldensians during the medieval ages. We as Christians should strife to be the lights in this dark world.

Sanctify God in your hearts with hearts and hands free from idolatry by true spiritual worship. Don't dirty and bloody your hands with false, idolatrous hearts. Keep your hands and hearts pure with true spiritual worship and service of God alone. By keeping your hearts clean of idolatry you hand over a loving legacy of true spirituality to your covenant children. Worship God in Spirit and Truth.

New Hope Baptist Church - Luke 1:46-56
This section of scripture is known as the Magnificat, taken from the Latin -- to magnify. Mary magnifies, or exalts, the name of God after the amazing things she heard from Gabriel and then from Elizabeth. The Child she would bear would sit on the throne of David and rule forever and by Him the humble would be exalted and the proud abased. Righteousness would triumph wickedness would be punished. In her doxology to God, she acknowledges that she is but a bond-slave and that God is her Savior. Therefore, though she is greatly blessed and acknowledged to be so from generation to generation, she is not to be worshipped or prayed to or idolized. Mary was a sinner who needed saved, just like everyone else.

How do we really know which religion is the right one? How can we know that Christianity represents the one true religion? What makes Christianity the Truth?
This week on the Straight Truth Podcast, a listener writes asking if we assume there is only one true religion, such as Christianity, doesn't the existence of many religions at least prove that mankind likes to make up stories and that people have a tendency to believe them? How then can we really know which religion is the right one? Dr. Richard Caldwell and host, Dr. Josh Philpot take up this discussion. They help us think about the world's religions and what makes Christianity different from them, what sets Christianity apart from those other religions.
From Roland Bainton's "Here I Stand: The Life of Martin Luther", this class looks at the unfortunate final years of Luther's life, and what we can and should conclude about his Luther's legacy.
