Northside Baptist Church - 1 Thessalonians 5:21
Five biblical reasons why Christians can vote no in the Voice Referendum on October 14th with a clear conscience.

Bridwell Heights Presbyterian - Sunday Service

When you study the book of Judges you will find it covers a period of over 400 years where Israel found themselves in a sin cycle of disobedience.
The Canaanites were a depraved people. They worshipped other gods. They practiced child sacrifice.
The Canaanite religion was made up of Idolatry and Sex, for the pursuit of material Success. Israel was to have a no toleration policy of the beliefs and actions of the Canaanites.
But sadly in the book of Judges they even began to serve the Pagan gods.
Judg 2:11 KJV And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim:
Now when we meet Deborah in Judges 4 we find the Israelites are caught in the sin cycle again.
Judg 4:1 KJV And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the Lord, when Ehud was dead. 2 And the Lord sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles. 3 And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel. 4 And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. 5 And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.
In Judges Chapter 4 things are really hard for the Tribes of Israel.
Ehud was a godly Judge who had brought Israel 80 years of rest.
That was the longest period of peace recorded in the Book of Judges.
When Ehud died the nation of Israel went back into idolatry but fortunately the Lord raised up a Godly woman called Deborah.

In Australia we may not yet face physical opposition like many of our brothers and sisters in Christ, overseas; but I believe there is increased opposition happening now in many areas towards Christians and Christian values in our society.
Today like never before in Australia, we are going to need courage to stand for Christ. Every faithful Christian is going to experience some type of Persecution.
2 Tim 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Today if you are a godly disciple of Jesus and you want to win the lost then you can expect persecution.
Right now, here in Australia, laws continue to be drawn up which will result in the persecution of Australian Christians.
In many places throughout the World, if you stand for the truth…if you take a stand for righteousness then you will find that you become an object of attack.
If you study the History of the Church you find persecution happening almost immediately after the Early Church began.
Soon after Pentecost the believers in Jesus Christ were persecuted for their faith as seen in Acts Chapter 4.
Believers today need to have visible boldness.
Believers need to have vocal boldness today.
Believers need to realize that Boldness is vital in today's world.

Metropolitan Baptist Church - Habakkuk 3

Gavin says, "On this Eve of Australia Day 2020 [sic. 2022]" & "Conversion of Saint Paul's Day, let us give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, that this land was settled under white Protestant Christian government with the British Empire in accordance with the Noachic mandate of Genesis 9:27, 'God shall enlarge Japheth ...'." And "in this first sermon we shall consider some introductory matters to Aramaic." "I have discovered five grammatical rules of the Aramaic shaphel, aphel, and haphel verbs and participles, that … have not been previously articulated." "I am naming these under the acronym of the SHAH rules … in which the 'S-H' stands for the 'SH' of 'Shaphel,' the 'A' stands for the 'A' of "Aphel,' and the 'H' for the 'H' of 'Haphel.' The completed word of 'SHAH' also replicates the noun 'Shah' which is the Persian name for 'King' or 'Prince' which I name in dedication to King Christ." "SHAH Rule 1 … the Biblical Aramaic shaphel which replicates the Accadian shaphel implies a contextual nuance … of building or God's power of deliverance." On "the importance of New Testament Aramaic in the Aramaic sayings of Jesus. This 1st of today's 4 sermons shall also include some introductory comments on Aramaic, such as the different names that it has been known under, & its generation from the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11." Gavin's discussion of Aramaic grammarians "shuffle-shaphel," is complemented in Part 3 with reference to "the huff'n'puff aphel-haphel syncopated prefix imperfect verbs and participles disputes." ATTENTION: These 4 sermons include comments premised upon the old earth creationist model of Gavin's book, Creation, Not Macroevolution – Mind the Gap.

Hos 4:1 Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
As of this Sunday and we don't know for exactly how long the NSW Government has decided that every place of worship in the entire State of NSW is now closed to the Public.
Today on Sunday the 15th of August it is illegal to gather as believers in Jesus Christ together to worship the Lord, hear the Word and encourage one another across our State.
This means that today, people who wish to gather for prayer, preaching and fellowship in Churches are forbidden to do so in NSW. This ban is because of the Coronavirus in our State.
Worship centers are closed by Law but Wine Shops are open. Our Tabernacle must remain closed but the Tobacconist can open.
Never in our history have all the established Churches in our State been shut? Today is a first, in a couple of hundred years.
Not once in our history has the Government mandated that every Church door in this State be shut on a Sunday.
This Nation is in need of a Miracle. This Nation needs prayer… like never before.
We have a much greater disease afflicting our nation than the Corona-virus, it is the disease of sin and rebellion against the God who made us.
Our Prime Minister should be calling our Nation to look to the Maker of the World, rather than the Merchants of the World for Healing and Protection.

This second message in this short series looks at the uniqueness's of two more of God's creation. Woodpeckers are looked at first and then the Australian Malleefowl and what God designed into them on the fifth day of creation.
Many may say that the scientific study of Ornithology has no place in the pulpit, but it does. To preach the whole council of God requires information that allow us understand our Creator better. That is not to say we need to study creation to marvel at the wonders of it, or for proof of creation but just as the artwork is a reflection of the artist, God's creation displays His individuality.
Consider what Paul wrote in the first chapter of Romans; "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith. For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made. The personality of God is revealed in what and how God made what He did. (To be continued in the next study of The Creator's Genius)

As the Corona Virus begins to devastate countries around the world it is important to understand what God's Word says to us about suffering.
It is quiet clear from the Paul's letter that Christians are called not only to believe in Jesus but we are also called to suffer for Jesus.
Phil 1.29 For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
It is sad today that numbers of Churches have turned Christianity into a way of life that was completely unknown in the early Church.
The early Church expected suffering, the early Church expected persecution, the early Church expected troubles.
A normal part of Christian living is suffering but how we react to that suffering is important!
When you look back in Bible history you see that God wanted Israel to turn to Him and they did not! So brought judgement upon the land!
God allows suffering so that Nations and even Christians will think seriously about eternal issues!
The Corona virus is bringing eternal issues into the minds of Christians and non Christians!

Fat Cows or Faithful Contenders:
Amos was both a Shepherd and a Farmer of Sycamore Trees.
Amos 1:1 KJV The words of Amos, who was among the herdman of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
Amos 7:14 KJV Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: 15 And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.
God called this humble farmer and gave him the job of speaking to the people of Israel.
Amos was from Tekoa which was a small town in the wilderness of Judea about 13 miles South of Jerusalem.
God's people the Israelites had been divided into two Kingdoms, the Southern Kingdom of Judea and the Northern Kingdom of Israel.
Amos was from Judea and he was sent to pronounce God's Judgment upon the Northern Kingdom…Israel. It is thought that the main part of his ministry was carried out from 760 BC to 750 BC.
When God used Amos as both Judea and Israel were enjoying great prosperity. There is a great need for people like Amos today who speak out against the nations immorality and idolatry.

Man is born to worship!.
Everyone in Australia worships something or someone. Even Atheists worship their gods but true worship must be in spirit and in truth according to Jesus Christ. Unfortunately today numbers of Australia's worship idols that will never bring them happiness.
Today like never before we need powerful preaching that exposes the idols of our age and the Church needs powerful witnesses that have fled their idols behind.
Everyone worships something

God called the Nation of Israel to be a Holy people and He blessed them with His Laws. Today like never before children need to know God's Word and God's Laws. In 1980 the Supreme Court in America ruled that it was unconstitutional to have the 10 commandments in Public Schools for religious purposes. When you remove God's Commandments and remove God's Word from a Society that has been blessed because of it, then that society begins to crumble. When you understand how much Western Civilization has been blessed then you begin to see the important role that God's Word and God's Commands have played. God's Commandments have been the foundation of the moral code and legal system of Justice in Western Civilization.
