Faith that moves in the impossible - Part 1

28

“Today not possible, tomorrow possible” - H.U. Lee -

Jesus said: “for truly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed… nothing shall be impossible to you.” Mt 17:20

Thesis: An impossible way was opened through the sea by faith

SUMMARY:

Israel departed from Egypt in haste after the deathof the first born
They came to a dead end and were trapped 2 million people crossed the Red Sea Today's sermon will be a Bible reading with explanations - Exodus 13.

God trapped His people on purpose to deceive the Egyptians. Was Pharaoh's heart hard or did God harden it? cf. Rom 9:15-17

Israel did not act in faith but in the flesh. Even Moses' himself waivered in unbelief. The cloud that illumined God's people, confused the Egyptians.

The destruction of Pharaoh's army and the Glory of God

The reaction of the people: Faith, Fear and Worship

CONCLUSION

  1. God's light is always present even when the night seems the darkest

  2. God's Glory and our best interest are always behind the trials of faith.

  3. That the same action can be an act of faith in a believer or an act of temerity in an unbeliever
