Power to Save

The Gospel is the power of God, Paul says. He does not say that the gospel contains information that accesses God's power, or that through it, God brings power to us as we understand its principles... Paul says the Gospel is, in itself, God's power unto salvation. That just as God spoke and created all things by the power of His word, the spoken and declared Gospel sends forth God's power in its words. Words that have power to save those who hear it and believe it. It even has power to move people into a belief that brings upon them salvation.
