Image Bearers of the New Race

Christians are image bearers of the New Race. This amazing fact is quite clear from this passage and numerous others like 1 Corinthians 15:44-53. This staggering claim is to be supported by believers who put off "all these" terrible tendancies of the flesh (indwelling sin). This staggering claim that Christians, and only Christians, are the new humanity is to be supported by putting on at least eight virtues: the first two in relation to others--"mercies and kindness". The next two in relation to ourselves--humility and meekness. The next three have to do with our response to harsh and otherwise ill treatment: "longsuffering, bearing with one another, and forgiving one another." Finally the all inclusive characteristic of a follower of Christ: "above all these things put on love..." This passage raises and answers many practical questions about race or better stated--"ethnicity." What do the scriptures teach about inter racial marriage? it can hardly be plainer than what we find in this passage.
