Head over all

God has put all things under the feet of his Messiah; he gave him to be head over all things to the church. What does this mean for us? In order to grasp this, and its happy consequences, we must undersand Christ's divine appointment as God's gracious gift, appreciate Christ's universal reign over the entire creation, and see Christ's particular concern for his beloved people.
