God of Lamentations

435

Jeremiah was a man in peril and when He cried out the Lord heard him. There is a reaping in the sowing of sin that is of anguish that will brake our heart and cause us to shed many a tear. Jeremiah speaks of a sorrow and an anguish that is not brought about by sin but by God Himself. What is the purpose of lamentations for today? God is a God of love, but is He a God of hate? God loves the sinner but hates the sin. Sin will seperate us from God. God still hears the cries of those who call out in sorrow for their wickedness, repenting of their transgressions, not simply sorry of their oppression.
