7 The Doctrine of Receiving the Holy Spirit

When do we receive the Holy Spirit? Do we have to ask to receive the Holy Spirit? Does there exist a group of second class Christians who only have Jesus? Does there exist a set of supra-Christians who not only have Jesus but also have the Holy Spirit? Is their a second “Baptism of the Holy Spirit”? What is the difference between the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit in the Old Covenant vs. the New Covenant. In this lecture the doctrine of the receiving of the Holy Spirit is presented from Scriptures, stripped of the mystical spiritism and experiential ecstasy of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements.
