A Monumental Event

Have you ever heard the phrase, "Blood is thicker than water?" What comes to your mind when you hear this phrase? You might be surprised to find that the meaning of that phrase today is far from what it meant years ago. In fact, if you Google it, you find all sorts of explanations dating back to the 12th century. However, it is quite sad that they haven't traced it back to it's real foundation which is found in the Old Testament and is very applicable to this day in two different ways. I'll be addressing both in this week's sermon, "A Monumental Event."
