Hallowed Be Your Name

The very first petition of the Lord's Prayer makes clear the Lord's top priority for his people — that we seek to recognize and revere the Lord alone as the one, true, and holy God. The text prompts us to answer three questions: Why speak of the 'name' of God? What does 'hallowed be' mean? What, then, is required of us?
